Vandana Lists Films With Great Songs

Youth Reporter Vandana Subhash lists four movies that she feels were blockbusters not so much because of their script or dialgoues but due to some unforgetable numbers.

Here is her list:

Bajirao Mastani: This film appealed to the local Maharashtrians for its beautiful music.Starting from the soulful Deewani Mastani to the dance numbers Pinga and Malhari, the songs of this film play even today and is one of the main reasons why this film was a hit.

Bombay Velvet: This movie was a super flop, but it surely made a mark in Bollywood for its periodic music of the 60's. Mohabbat Buri Bimari and Fifi are familiar songs at the clubs.

Aashiqui 2: The soulful songs in this film are considered the best romantic songs of Bollywood.Even other directors use songs like Tum Hi Ho and Sunn Raha Hai to depict romantic songs in their movies!

Azhar: This film, which was based on the Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin's life and times was all about songs from his life. The two romantic songs in this movie, Itni Si Baat Thai and Bol Do Na Zara showed his love life with his 2 wives. And both struck a chord with the youngsters!
