14 Eating Habits And What They Reveal About Your Personality

If you sit at a dining table with your family and colleagues, you've probably observed that everyone has a different style of eating. Some people eat quickly, while others prefer to take their time and enjoy their food in peace. Studies say that our eating habits are highly instinctive. That's probably why there’s a strong connection between them and our personalities. Here’s what the way you eat says about your personality.

1. If you're a slow eater: The slow eater is never in hurry, and believes in living in the present. At work, you are never in a hurry to get things done. You believe that a job well done is far better than one done quickly. In a relationship, you are always living in the current moment. On the flip side, you are a stubborn person who likes sticking to routines.

2. If you're a fast eater: Fast eaters focus on finishing food really fast. In fact, they don’t even care about chewing their food properly. You are great at getting things done and your bosses love this quality in you. Multi-tasking and healthy competitions are your thing. Your brain is always ahead of where you are. In a relationship, you put the needs of yourpartners ahead of yours. Sadly, rushing through meals suggests that you hardly make time for yourself. You are great, but you definitely need to slow down!

3. If you don’t like others touching your food: If you are someone who has an issue with people touching your food, it suggests you’re extremely organised. You like to keep things neat and clean, and are trying your best to avoid a mess of any sort. At work, you ably handle the tasks at hand. In a relationship, you are always up for sharing responsibilities. These are great qualities, but they often stress you out. Being a little flexible will help you calm down.

4. If you are adventurous about trying new foods: If you are someone who likes sampling out new cuisines, you’re someone who loves adventures. In a relationship, your partner never complains about you being boring. At work, you never shy away from giving quirky ideas. Interestingly, your adventurous personality makes people want to be friends with you. You have a unique approach to life, keep that up!

5. If you prefer eating one food at a time: People who focus on eating one food at a time are methodical in their approach. You are detail-oriented and think thoroughly before making a decision. At work, you are appreciated for being a careful person. Your relationships are always rocky because not everyone seems to get your idea of being so rigid. Try to be open to other people’s ideas as it will strengthen your relationships.

6. If you're into mixing foods together: People who like mixing different foods love to take things upon themselves. Your bosses are always happy because you’re willing to take more and more responsibilities. Your relationships are successful because you are not scared to make time for everyone. The only negative trait of your personality is that you tend to over-commit which lands you in trouble.

7. If you cut food into manageable bite-sized pieces: Those who cut their food into proper bites are usually forward thinkers. At work, you consistently work hard to move up the ladder. In a relationship, you are always looking for something meaningful and long term.

8. If you are picky about food: If you’re that person who has really specific food requests, you have a comfort zone you hate getting out off. You prefer to have a job profile that you know inside out. And your relationships are long and settled ones. However, you are a curious personality and crave knowledge. It’s good to be comfortable, but being a little adventurous will push you towards bigger and better opportunities.

9. If you are conscious about what you eat: People who are particular eat according to the rule book. They keep a check on their nutrients and calories. It suggests that you are not open to trying new things, and are orderly and organised to the extent of being stubborn.

10. If you love eating sweets: If you like eating sweets, just the way I do, then you are calm and kindhearted. These are the kind of people who’ll always be up to listen to your problems. At the same time, they won’t be so open about the issues in their lives.

11. If you prefer salty food: People who enjoy salty food speak their mind. They are not scared to share their opinions and ideas with the world.

12. If you enjoy eating bitter food: People who love eating bitter food are those whose first impression about someone are usually negative. Though it evens out eventually, they are reluctant in making new friends. Nonetheless, these people are also the first ones to anticipate something bad.

13. If you have a fondness for spicy food: People who relish spicy food are usually dangerous people. You can change from a complete sweetheart to a vicious person in seconds. But you are the first to help out if someone is stuck with a problem.

14. If you love gorging on sour food: People who are fond of sour food are truly one of a kind. They find little joys in everything, and have a certain innocence about them. These people are loved by everyone. Indiatimes
