Whose Wax Double Do You Want? Discuss

The Madamme Tussads Museum is coming to Delhi soon and the list of wax statues have already been decided upon.

According to some sources, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may be next in line to get a double — in wax. The buzz is that the India partner of London’s Madame Tussauds, which is set to open in Delhi, wrote to Kejriwal on January 11, 2016 requesting him to accept its invitation “to be an esteemed waxwork figure at the new attraction in Delhi”.

If Kejriwal accepts the invitation from Wizcraft Entertainment International (WEI), he is likely to be the first Indian chief minister to be replicated in wax by the iconic museum of life-size replicas.

Madamme Tussads is located in 20 cities across Europe, USA, Asia and Australia and boasts of the wax statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan and Sachin Tendulkar.

The WEI wrote to Kejriwal that the Madame Tussauds museum in Delhi will be one of the largest in the region and a “celebration of the greatest people of our country and internationally from their respective fields”.

The WEI director Andre Timmins confirmed the news that “Madame Tussauds will definitely come to Delhi in 2017.”

Youth Reporters Say They Want PV Sindhu And Lata Mangeshkar's Wax Statue Too

It would be nice to have a Lata Mangeshkar wax statue. She deserves it more than anyone else in this industry. If not for anything else, we can at least preserve her in wax!

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi deserves a wax statue in his honour. He already has one, but it will be great to see his wax figure in Delhi also.

Shivam Pandey, class VIII, DPS

I wish we had a wax figure for PV Sindhu and Dipa Karmakar. They are the achievers of the year according to me. They deserve this honour.
