The 'Mannequin Challenge' Is #BreakingTheNet

Remember the childhood game when someone yelled "STATUE!" and you had to stand still, till one of you couldn't do so anymore. That's basically it.

At this point it's safe to presume that the internet is basically the god of all that is cool. And what it deems worthy of being viral, spreads quickly around the world like a fire gone wild. How else can we attempt to explain why a bunch of famous and ordinary people are appearing in videos where they are striking fantastic poses (like statues) like pose just (like a mannequin) with a song called 'Black Beatles' in the background.

Yes, the odd sounding 'Mannequin Challenge' is a thing now.

It's time to forget the dumping of ice buckets on your head for the ALS bucket challenge, dancing to the Harlem Shake or doing the Harambe. In internet time, they're centures old and the only one you should be knowing, or convincing your friends to participate is the Mannequin Challenge to Rae Sremmurd's 'Black Beatles.'

So what is it?

The Mannequin Challenge is a new viral (read crazy) trend sweeping across the vast landscape of internet. Participants strike a statuesque pose, and do their best not to move while Rae Sremmurd's 'Black Beatles' song plays in the background. It's started around the time you and I were probably out celebrating Diwali, yes it's almost a week old. And it came to light after a few publications discovered the Twitter sensation. It has already been performed by the likes of Hillary Clinton, Ellen DeGeneres, Kevin Hart, 2 Chainz and the Dallas Cowboys.

How did it start?
The origin of the challenge has been traced back to a Twitter user @thvtmelanin_, a high school student Emily from Florida. According to reports, a few weeks ago Emily walked upto the front of the class and stood there, enough for a friend to say she looked like a mannequin. And then Emily and her friends did a bunch of crazy poses looking as frozen as a mannequin and posted it online. Soon students from other high schools got into the challenge and a stunt became a full-blown social media challenge. Here's some of the best one.
Fact: If you are planning to do your own version, you don't have to play Rae Sremmurd's ' Black Beatles' in the background, although truth be told, it has sort of come to be the unofficial anthem of the #mannequin challenge. Need inspiration?

School kids, a whole stadium joined in and even a cat decided to join in one the fun.

I love the idea of mannequin challenge. It kinda seems fun to do. All the above people look like wax statues from the movie House Of Fax. We can play a little prank with this by calling one of our friends home and telling all our other friends to come before him. And, when he enters, boom, you see a house of wax😂. It''d be awesome to see his reaction and capture it on camera.

first-a-fall i like taking challenges and i don''t fear to accept challenges from any one.because the challenges are the one who are taking us the key of success. And i think that mannequins are the who help us to identify the person.and his or her category.
