Meet The Four Semi-Finalists of Champions Trophy

Defending champions India made it to the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy by defeating South Africa in a must-win encounter in the final league match by eight wickets at the Kennington Oval, London on Sunday. After bowling out the number one ranked ODI team for a paltry 191, India chased down the target with 12 overs remaining. Shikhar Dhawan top-scored with an 83-ball 78-run knock while skipper Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 76. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah claimed two wickets each. This is the fifth-time India have reached the semi-final stage of the Champions Trophy.

Pakistan's skipper Sarfraz Ahmed (61) cracked a gritty unbeaten fifty as Pakistan survived some tense moments before notching up a thrilling three-wicket win over Sri Lanka in their must-win Group B match to enter the semifinals of the ICC Champions Trophy on Monday. Pakistan will meet Group A toppers England in the first semifinal on Wednesday at the same venue while Group B toppers India will face Bangladesh in the second semifinal at Edgbaston on Thursday.

After a week and a half of some adrenalising cricket, it has come down to this- England v/s Pakistan and Bangladesh v/s India! Many are a bit surprised by the way Bangladesh and Pakistan have showed grit and determination to reach the semis. Me too. I am on top of the world since India won that match against South Africa. Pakistan was phenomenal in the last league match against Sri Lanka. After the forgetful warm-up match against India , Bangladesh will hope to seek redemption.

The two games-England vs Pakistan, India vs Bangladesh is going to be an epic match. After a defeat, both the teams Bangladesh and Pakistan have performed brilliantly and have made their way to the semi-finals. India and England have always amazed with their amazing performances. Let us see if the Men In Blue can make their way to the finals. So all the best and defend the title once again.

I feel that ICC Champions Trophy 2017 has been full of twists and turns. A team can be seen hitting high shots whereas the other one can be witnessed ping catches and three miss outs. I hope that the Men in Blue will be able to defend the title.
