Learn This Ancient Japanese Hand Exercise

Stress is the root cause of every problem in our body and thanks to our lifestyle most of us are prone to anxiety and depression. That is why we have got you this ancient Japanese art Jin Shin Jyutsu that teaches us how to balance the energies in the body and helps release tension.
It is a very simple self-help method to tune all the energies in the body and to balance oneself physically, mentally and spiritually. As per this technique, every finger is connected to various organs and parts of our body, and control our emotions.

How to practice?
Hold each finger for two or more breaths. It is believed that holding a finger correlating to one emotion helps to calm the organ you want to heal and helps one to restore the balance.
Another way of doing this is holding all the five fingers till one starts throbbing and then you can calm that down.

How long should you hold a finger?
  • You have many ways to do it, one is to hold all the ten fingers one by one until you feel a pulse arriving in a particular finger.
  • If you find a finger is already pulsing strongly when you first touch it, hold that finger until the pulse calms down.
  • Another way of doing it is to hold all fingers together. This is a great practice to do throughout the day. It can be very meditative and relaxing.
  • Do it before going to bed
  • Holding the fingers before going to sleep is an excellent practice. It not only establishes a habit but also helps you fall asleep.
