If Both Men And Women Cricketers Formed Combined India XI

Indian cricket is not just about Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni anymore. It is also about Harmanpreet Kaur and Mithali Raj. Sachin Tendulkar is not the only revered legend, Jhulan Goswami, too, deserves the same intensity of adulation.

Lets stop referring to Rahul Dravid as only 'Wall' Indian cricket has had, because Smriti Mandhana isn't far removed from this category. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are not the only spin kings in India anymore. Deepti Sharma and Ekta Bisht are now the spin queens wearing the coveted crown.  Remember, the Women's World Cup bailed India out of the misery we were drowned into after a loss to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final.

Irrespective of the result of the final, women's cricket has become the new fad. It's clearly the new in thing. So much so that the ongoing India-Sri Lanka series is lurking in the shadow of the laurels Mithali Raj and company have amassed.

But some people are really taking it to another unimaginable level by fusing the Indian men's and women's cricket team. And what if that happens? Here are some striking questions that come to mind.

1. Who'd Face The First Ball Of The Indian Innings ? Poonam Raut Or Rohit Sharma?

This is one question that'd eat the captain's mind away. No matter what the decision, lets hope there's no boy-girl fight over taking strike.

2. This Is A Big Question - Who'd Actually Captain The Indian Side? Virat Kohli Or Mithali Raj?

This call would obviously rest with the selectors. Or the now controversy-laced BCCI. Nonetheless, this will obviously create a face off of sorts between Mithali and Virat's fans.

3. Big Question Again - Who'd Keep Wickets? MS Dhoni Or Sushma Verma?

Keeping in mind how the women's world cup has ended, Sushma Verma cannot afforded to be ignored. MS Dhoni obviously is the best in the world. This should hopefully be sorted.

4. Spinning Track Ahead? Ravichandran Ashwin Or Ekta Bisht?

Ashwin has an illustrious record. Ekta Bisht has momentum on her side. Who'd be the doosra here?

5. Who's The Better Fast Bowler? Jhulan Goswami Or Umesh Yadav?

Difficult pick, this? While Goswami is the highest wicket-taker in women's international cricket, Yadav has the reputation of pulling a rabbit out of his hat.

Yes these are some cool questions! But, as there will be 11 players, there will have to be one less guy or girl. it cannot be an equal number of them.... these questions are really things to ponder on!
