Shivaay, the film, is a father-daughter love story,' said Ajay Devgn in a candid chat with Deebashree Mohanty...
But we wonder whether the adage, Daddy's little girl and mama's boy is true or it is just an urban legend.
“Shivaay is essentially an emotional drama. It’s a father-daughter love story, it talks about family values. To what length a parent, (in this case, a father) can go to protect a child and in that scenario how a child will behave towards the parent,” he told us.
Shivaay is Ajay’s second directorial venture after the 2008 rom-com U Me Aur Hum. What took him this long?
“I think nothing works without emotions. Action is something which is very interesting, people like it but only when done in a right way. If I am doing an action sequel just for the sake of it, you will not like it however good it is,” he further added.
The movie is all set to release on October 28, what is that one thing he wants the audience to take away from Shivaay, “Lot of people have seen my film now and I have got the exact reaction that I wanted. They had tears in their eyes and a smile on their face. When you see the film, you will know that it’s totally performance oriented and that’s why it took so long for me to get the cast in place,” he gushed.
Ranbir Kapoor Declares He Is Mama's Boy
I don't think it is an urban legend. Most of my friends who are guys are ma ka ladlas (mama's boys). And I am not ashamed about it. There is a bond I share with my mother which somehow is not there with dad. I was scared of him when I was growing up, at that time my mother was my biggest confidante. She became my friend and guide later. I would give up everything in this world for my mother.

Youth Reporters Say There Is No Such Thing
This is an urban legend which comes true sometimes. Doesn't mean it is always the case. I am more comfortable with my mother than my dad. She is the one who knows me in and out. My father is very strict.

I am very close to my father. The reason being he pampers me a lot. My mother is more practical. I think this saying is cent percent correct. Most of my friends are also daddy's girls.
Rohini Sharma, class X, DPS International, Delhi
I don't know why this saying even exists. I am close with both my parents. In fact I have more to share with my dad than my mother because she gets very hyper. Instead of encouraging love of one parent, we should say love both of them.
