All About Galaxy Note 7 Recall

By now, you've probably heard that Samsung is recalling Galaxy Note 7 due to the risk of battery malfunction. Here is all the things you need to know about the recalling Samsung's faulty Galaxy  note 7.


Recalling fiasco
Just a week ago, Galaxy Note 7's heating issue was covered all throughout the media. Following the second incident, Samsung decided to halt the production and shipments of Note 7. In a press release, the company mentioned that they are aware of the FAA's statement the FAA's statement against using the Galaxy Note 7 in flight or putting it in checked luggage, saying "consumer safety and peace of mind are our top priority".

Exchange programme
In their official blog, Samsung announced to replace the shipped Galaxy Note 7 with a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge or Galaxy J series. "We are advising that you power down your Note 7 and exchange it now," Samsung's exchange page read.

Note 7 makes the 'no fly' list
Aviation authorities the world over are strongly recommending passengers not use the Galaxy Note 7 in flight or put it in their checked luggage. India's Civil Aviation Authority banned the use of Galaxy Note 7 while flying.

Replacemnet coming soon
According to a statement put up by Samsung Australia, the Galaxy note 7 replacements will arrive from September 21. And, the sales will resume in October in Australia.

Safe or not?
Safer version of Galaxy Note 7 units will feature specail "S" sticker on the barcode label on the box. Alternatively, you will be able to look up the phone's IMEI number on a Samsung website that will go live once the replacement units arrive.
