Inter-house dance competition@National English School

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an inter-house dance competition was organized by National English School, VIP Branch, recently.

Participants were from classes I to IV. The theme of the competition was "Addiction". The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The fun-filled extravaganza offered messages to the society like "Stop Child Labour", "Stop Molestation", "Say no to addiction" and "Celebration of life and Childhood" by Netaji, Teresa, Tagore and Swamiji house respectively.
The performance depicted by the children tried to show that "addiction" isn't a direct result of a stress filled childhood but there is a close relationship between the two. It is during childhood that a child is moulded as an individual for the rest of his life. Each house at the end of their performance came up with “messages” which were very touching and we learnt a lot from them.
The parents too deserve a special mention as they tried their best with the props, dress and practice needed to put up such a wonderful programme. At the end of the programme the children were gifted with goodies. Mousumi Saha, principal of NES, shared her views and congratulated the children for putting up such a wonderful and impressive dance competition. We look forward to such inter-house competitions in the near future. The children felt enthusiastic and happy after the prizes were given by the principal and vice-principal. Their confidence were boosted up for any other performance that would come up next.
