Makes you optimistic

Inactivity is a silent killer. Any kind of activity instills in us a spirit of adventure. Physical fitness is essential for students to perform well in examinations, as ailing bodies do not make sharp minds. Participating in any sporting activity also inculcates in the student the ability to handle pressure with an optimistic view and perform well to win. It also teaches them to lose graciously upholding the spirit of sportsmanship.

Makes you mentally strong

Exercising helps in sculpting the body into an artistic mould, having a better constitution and therefore, staying in fine fettle. It helps to strengthen the mind and have control over it.

Meditation matters

Meditation helps in many ways. It increases concentration power among students, enhances the breathing process, helps in calming down the body and instills a virtue like discipline, which is essential while preparing for a weekly tests, terminal exams or the final examination.

Rejuvenates the mind

Sports helps students feel energised and they can get back to their studies after, say 30 minutes of running, feeling completely rejuvenated. This will help them to concentrate better on their studies.

Better equipped to face challenges

Parents who believe that sports and exercises take their children away from studies must think again. Sports inspires a sporting spirit among children. This is necessary not only in the field of sports and games, but also while handling life’s problems and facing challenges.

One does not always need to hit the gymnasium to exercise –  brisk walking, light jogging and stretching exercises are equally effective.

Considering the virtues of indulging in exercises and sports, we must come forward to encourage them. The importance of an active mind and body during school life cannot be questioned.  Indulge in light exercises to de-stress!
