Free Books For A Lifetime? Yes Please!

A London bookshop is offering free books for a lifetime, anywhere in the world.

Heywood Hill, London is celebrating its 80th anniversary and how! The bookshop is running a contest for the month of October, 2016 wherein readers residing anywhere in the world have an opportunity to win a lifetime literary prize where a "lucky winner will never need to buy a book again".

To win, the readers have to participate and tell about their favourite book in English, published after 1936. "To enter simply tell us which single book has meant the most to you, published in English since Heywood Hill opened in 1936," reads a statement on their official website. "This prize draw closes at midnight on Monday 31 October 2016," it further states. The first prize- The Library of A Lifetime- as the names suggests will offer a book every month for a lifetime. "After a reading consultation with your personal bookseller you will receive a hardback book every month for life!," the website reads. The second prize will offer 12 hardback books, one for each month while the third prize will offer a hardback book for every alternate month for one year. Authors including Donna Leon, Artemis Cooper, Edmund de Waal, Lucy Hughes-Hallett, Julian Barnes, and William Boyd have participated too. While Donna Leon chose A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth calling it 'wonderfully funny', William Boyd chose Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov as he finds it to be 'Unique, Mind-Boggling, Hilarious'.

The winner will be chosen by a lucky draw, thus making one lucky bibliophile's dream come true.
