Don't we all yearn for lustrous locks and glowing, well-hydrated skin? Well, eating right is the key, but if biting into healthy food isn't your forte, here are five unique, nutritionist-approved smoothie combinations that will certainly tempt you into trying them.

Packed with nutrients, these original smoothie combinations are packed with flavour, and bursting with goodness, thanks to their nutritionist office-genesis stories. Your hair and skin are in for a treat.

1. Avocado And Berry Smoothie For healthy hair
Avocado contains Niacin (B3) that helps transform carbohydrates into energy. Niacin also helps to maintain the structure of the blood cells and improves blood circulation to the scalp, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. Walnuts on the other hand, are an excellent ingredient for hair growth as it's packed with omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E, Zinc and Biotin (Vitamin B7).

Ingredients:

1/2 ripe avocado
2 cups spinach
1 cup organic raspberries
1 cup organic strawberries
¼ cup walnuts
1 tablespoon flax seed
1 cup water

Method:

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Drink up!

1 cup coconut water
½ cup chopped carrots
½ cup strawberries
1 orange
½ cup chopped mangoes

3. Banana-Strawberry Smoothie For lustrous hair
This smoothie is great for beautiful hair and skin as it's packed with vitamins, proteins and antioxidants. It's a good option for vegans or those who are lactose intolerant as it uses almond milk instead of regular milk.

Ingredients:

1 glass almond milk
1 small banana
A handful of fresh strawberries
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Handful of fresh pomegranate

Method:
Blend all the ingredients together till you get a good consistency and garnish with dried goji berries.
To create unsweetened almond milk at home, soak a bowl of almonds for around eight hours and blend with drinking water three times the quantity of almonds used. Then strain.

4. Skin Cleanse Green Smoothie For glowing skin
Avocado helps to reduce any skin inflammation with all its healthy fats and vitamin E. Other foods, like spinach, coconut water and pineapple make the smoothie rich in electrolytes, vitamins and minerals that keep the skin radiant and glowing. The trick is freezing at least one of the ingredients so the smoothie comes out cold.

Ingredients:
1 whole avocado
1 cup spinach
1 cup coconut water
½ cup pineapple

Method:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until you reach a smooth consistency.
