Ritvik Baweja Asks 'Why Are We So Greedy'

Many of us don't believe in god, but it doesn't matter. What a matter is that we all should know the real truth of life and that is,' Everyone comes in this world empty handed and leaves it empty handed." So why are we so greedy? Why do we want to become the richest person in the world? Why do we do evil? These questions will guide us towards the truth. The only things that we will carry along with us are our deeds. They are like a foundation of our future. No one knows when they will take their last breath. So let's make each and every breath useful by doing good deeds because at the end you will not have the time to regret.

No one in this world will remember us after dying for our money. People will only remember you for your deeds. People still remember Mother Teresa because of her good deeds. We should always try to help he poor and needy persons.

Being greedy is a very bad attitude which will spoil not only ourselves but also our surroundings . But people become greedy because they are exposed to many things in this world. It''s only because of greediness the RICH are becoming more RICHER and the POOR are becoming more POORER.

It''s true that we come empty handed and will leave empty handed, so what matters is the quality of life in between. It is true that money is a major factor of good quality life. But often in the process of making money people forget to enjoy their lives. People spend their entire lives working hard to earn money so that they can enjoy their life, but when the time comes they realize its too late to enjoy and that they spent their entire youth collecting money that is of no use to them now.

''Earth provides enough to satisfy every man''s need but no every man''s greed'' as said by Mahatma Gandhi. A person becomes greedy when he starts thinking for getting more and more. He becomes money minded just to earn a good and luxurious life. When he''s not satisfied with what he has he becomes greedy and selfish. Every person in this world is greedy for one or the other thing. But this greed will totally destroy a man so nobody should be greedy and be satisfied with what they have.

A fundamental fact about human nature is that human wants are endless and with the growth of knowledge and science ,these tend to multiply. This is inherent in humans beings and this is what gives rise to greed. We can''t except everyone to be perfect social and great inspite of knowing that we''ll take back nothing because if knowing that would solve all problems then people, knowing that death was inevitable ,would have become pessimistic.
