Yes, it has become a lesson in english grammar and competitions are being held to make us write letters. Definitely we have to write letters. It carries emotions. It strengthens bond. It is must for us. I used to give letters to my old teacher. She encourages me. Even you encourage others and give letters to the one who encourage you.📃

Yes , I also think so we should start writing a letter those who do not have other resources they can also come in contact with their friends and relatives . Those who have I think they should also start writing because I think we generally forget what he said on this day or something important happen and so many things but by keeping letters we remember the person as well the thing.

It is uncommon in this ''technologized'' world that I usually write letters to my friends and prefer to.Because writing on paper is more effectual. Our musings and expressions are well disgorged.Writing letters tends us to be considerate about our thoughts, feelings and emotions. They bring friends or relatives closer as the sender is willing to put his/her time in writing one.Besides, our writing skills become more clear and expressive. So,I think people should start writing.

Well, writing letters in this "technologically advanced world" seems like a dream. Whatsapp, Hike, IMO and e-mails have been successful in replacing those blue-inland letters. It is quite surprising that though wen have stopped writing letters, still letter writing has been included in the English Grammar syllabus in schools. I feel that we should start writing letters again.

The reason behind not writing letters is social media as we all know. Nowadays, the messages we wish to convey to someone do not take even a minute, I suppose. Sending messages through social media is easy, but earlier even letters did the job with so much ease. If we do not write letters to anybody in real life, what is the point of learning how to write letters in school? Although Whatsapp does the work for us, the joy of receiving a handwritten letter is unadulterated and unparalleled.

Writing a letter, is a good thought but that is the problem in networking site? we are thinking of the positive features of letter and neglecting the negative effect of letter . I know that we are learning letter writing in the grammar or we can say so many types of letter writing be it a letter to editor , letter to our friends , application letter , designation letter , etc . I had gone through the reply written , i want to ask do we have to write a letter to get curious about the reply .

i think letters were essential in earlier times than today because there were no other means of communication. With the advancement of technology, we can send pictures and audio messages along with our text in a faster and better manner. This prevents us from writing letters that are very time consuming. However for some occasions like birthdays , a letter would be much more memorable. We need not wirite letters every time but sometimes a letter can convey a better message than text.

nowadays people usually text with mobiles and laptops ...and the letters usage has become minimum . we should start writing letters as they show the emotions.

Yes, I totally feel that we should start writing letters again as our writing will improve. The pleasure of receiving a handwritten letter from someone is just unparalleled. Nowadays, people have stopped writing letters because of the increasing number of apps for messaging like Whatsapp, Hike etc. If nowadays we do not write letters then why do we have ''Letter Writing'' as a topic in our English Grammar??

Panchami.M K L E Society School, Nagarbhavi

Aditya Mittal We need to right letters to get curious about the reply and realize how deeply we love the person and how much we miss him or her. Don''t you think that when you wait for a person''s response, you realize the importance of that person in your life. No offence. I respect your opinion.

I think students in school should be taught to write emails rather than letters. Talking to friends in long distance is very easy with technology.
