Hemalatha: We Better At Creating or Destroying?

When I saw this question I couldn't come to a conclusion. We are doing wonders. We create something new everyday. From small pin to large industries, everything has been made easy by humans. Now the world is in our hand! Whole universe on our table! We made everything simple and possible! We create so many things. At the same time, we are destroying the nature. We can't create it. We cut down the trees which took years to grow. Some people kill one another. Why is this? We are experts at creating as well as destroying. Do you agree? What are we better at — creating or destroying?

We are creating till there is no harm from what we are making

SUGAT SHANKER DAV PS CANTT AREA GAYA

Miss Hemlatha, As Being a student I can also sense the ultimate curiosity inside you to say whether we are better at creating or DESTROYING!!! Let me get this straight, Your facts are wrong because for every one tree being cut down, we are planting 10 trees (sources:Wikipedia), Thus we are doing more good than harm. But creating doesn''t always leads to good things. Look at Nuclear weapons(THEY WERE ALSO CREATED) . Thus you should reassess what you asked. Thanks and Regards, Sugat Shanker

@ Sugat. I really don''t think those facts picked up from Wikipedia are true universally. Generally, I would say, more trees are being cut than planted. And of course, there are many more things which we do which destroy the Earth. As Sugat said, nukes are one of them, and then there''s radioactivity, water pollution, ozone depletion, and tons of other destructive things. At the same time we create too.

It could be a balance between both, but can''t be sure..destruction might just get an upper hand very soon, at the rate at which the Earth is getting more and more destroyed very steadily. In terms of nature, there''s undoubtedly more destruction. However, in other fileds, there IS more creation. ( these are only my views on the topic :) )

I completely agree to what Aishwarya said , because in the present scenario the ratio of the trees being cut is not in balance with that of the number of trees being planted. So hence, we are doing both the things simultaneously , creating and destroying.

We are good at creating as well as destroying. Increased urbanization has created a huge demand for area.Nowadays, people have made unbelievable discoveries and invention. Hence, we cut down trees which leads to deforestation. People never think of the effects of cutting down trees when they cut it down. They just think of their commodities. Murder has a cause. It caused of vengeance. People just don''t go murder someone for no reason.

I think optimistic people will say we are more good at creating and pessimistic people will say that we are more good at destroying. It depends on an individual''s paradigm.

As human race, we are good at creating what we want, irrespective of whether the nature is ready to accept it or not. We don''t care about the side effects of our inventions to the surrounding that we live in and are only concerned with satisfying personal wants. Our so called creations are actually creating the foundation for our own destruction. I personally consider human race as a virus that is on the process of eating up this planet.

We are creating something that is useful and at the same time harmful. We always get some problem just with what we created. For that,we create another thing that recovers the problem and so on......

R SHRINIDHI Bhaktavatsalam Vidyashram

Nowadays, there are a lot of technologies created by humans. In the olden days, people use to burn plant waste for cooking. But nowadays we are using gas cylinders for cooking. But if the cylinder is leaked,we will be destroyed. So it is bad.In the olden days, people use to write letters and send.Nowadays,we use to type letters using phones .It is bad to our eyes.Whatever we create, destroys us.So we are not better in creating. But we should be better in destroying bad things.

Deepttha Sri S Velammal Matric Hr Sec School ..

I think we are using. We are not creating and destroying. Using the created and speaking about destroyed(use).Things go wrong only when we let them to do.So if we are creating something we surely destroy something. (FOR INSTANCE: more usage of mobile , less usage of computer ) so I think we create as well as we destroy
