Hemalatha: How About A Life Without Mobiles?

We are in a world, where everybody is busy with their phones. How it would be without cell phones? We would start writing letters, we would join many debates, we would create awareness programmes with people etc. We will involve ourselves to the society just to forget our cell phones. But entering the world without cell phones is definitely like entering a hell. Without it we wouldn't have proper alarms, no selfies, no news, no connectivity and nothing. I really couldn't imagine a world without mobiles. How it would be? How people will be? What'll happen to technology?

This question is very interesting, Hemalatha. For most people who are addicted to their phones, it would certainly be challenging for them. Such people are dependent on their phones for the smallest of things. Cellphones have become a sine qua non that life without them is unthinkable. Life without mobiles would be difficult but it would be fun. We would get back to spending time with our loved ones, playing outdoors, reading and pursuing our hobbies. When will such a day arrive?

Definitely thats a valid question.Nowadays, almost all are busy with their phones which lead to lack of connection between families.People have more trust on screenshots and actual conversation.Wherever we go a selfie is a must thing. So if mobile phones are not there, then it will be really good for having direct connection with people. But it has disadvantages too.If we are in some danger then, the easiest way is to call someone. But if mobile phones are not there, then thats not possible.

For me I don''t think there would be much change as I m not a mobile user. But if it happens ,then definitely people become closer to each other once again and that will be a great step as it has broken links and nowadays working in an opposite manner rather for which it was introduced.

A very interesting question, Hemlatha. But let''s be realistic, phones give us connectivity which is very important in today''s world. There is nothing wrong with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The problem is with certain people who cannot live without their phones. If people used their phones according to their necessity, we would not be conditioned to be asking for a such a world.

But in a world in which technology is evolving so fast and has achived such feat, it is actually funny to think about such a world. For example, imagine a couple would be using portable solar cars which can go 1000 miles/ hour but they would have no idea if that their child had failed in his exams because it would take days to deliver a paper message from Boston to New Delhi

As for hobbies and playing outdoors, a person who really wants to practice their hobbies there will be nothing stopping them. And millions around the world are currently making their living through YouTube, they would certainly not find such a world worth living in

Yes, life without mobile phones will be much better. For the tech-savvy people around the world, this will be something next to impossible. My mother used to tell me of those days when they didn''t need to long for Facebook likes and profiles. They had travelled in cars chatting with their parents and enjoying the serene bounties of nature outside the window. During rains, they used to make a paper boats. They had the best of all times.

The mobile phones on one hand had reduced the distances of countries but on the other hand it had increased the distance between the family members.

A world without cell phones would be an exciting one.No one will be lost in their own world but take active participations socially. Birthdays will have actual meanings without only text messages and posted stories about the one. No dependence on phones would make one more responsible and active. A world without cell phones would be a REAL WORLD!

It is a really nice question, Hemalatha. For those people who are addicted to phones and cannot even leave for a second, life would be challenging and difficult for them. I would happily pass time without a phone by reading books or doing something new and innovative. We can spend our time by playing board games or outdoor games and hanging out with our friends. There are lots of options for a life without cellphones. Nicely written, Ayushi and Hemalatha.

How can we tell this?? Nowadays phones are a vital part of our life. Most of our work is done through phone. I believe phones should be used for useful works rather than for useless things. But we can''t get rid of phones altogether. It has its own uses

V.A.Tanmai PBDAV MODEL SCHOOL

We are becoming increasingly dependant on mobile phones as these small and sleek devices are multi-functional gadgets that help in our day-to-day tasks.we cannot even imagine a life without mobilephones because people nowadays with this busy life get less chance to communicate directly..soo mobile phones in this case helps them a lot. Instead of destroying the phones it will be better if we delete all distraction apps from our mobile phone.

I think people would start connecting to each other. We are all addicted to cellphones and coming out of it would be very hard.

It is evidently true that there used to be life even without mobiles in a time. However, there is no need discard mobiles as they are indeed useful in emergency situations. Instead we should be changing our attitude about the way to use it.

mobiles are seperating the family as every body are busy in their own world ,playing games , seeing youtube, etc . Now its a world that even beggers have smartphones even they don''t have money to feed their children . Phone is also necessary but not that much that we are drowned in it

Dear Hemlatha ,Mobiles have changed this world.Even if we are going out for a while we need the mobile phone every time. They are separating families and also the arriving of mobiles has kept away calculators, letters, books.Even I think that this world should remain without having mobile phones.

Anushka Chhabra MOUNT CARMEL SCHOOL(DWARKA)

I believe in today''s lifestyle we have forgot how to live without a mobile phone. Our phone has become the only medium to share and express our feelings. Sports through the phone love through the phone and in short time the weddings will also be through the phone. What kind a life would it be ? Without phones we would actually start living our lives once again. We would wait for days to get letters from our family and that wait would increase the preciousness of those letters.
