Devang: Are We Losing Quality In Our Education?

Since time immemorial, quality and qualification have been going hand in hand. Often, people with high qualification are identified as iconic pictures of quality. But, with cut-throat competition, the gap between the two has been increasing in geometric progression. Students completing their class X and XII are often found to have scored 100%, even in their languages! It's very hard to find people with real quality. No wonder, the Government is searching for teachers with quality rather than qualifications nowadays.

The faculties, starting from school days, have to take up new programmes to inculcate a scientific aptitude in students. Instead of comparing students on the basis of marks alone, practical knowledge programmes and workshops could help in this regard and the student has to be evaluated in terms of all the above. The students should also be encouraged to have precise observation and ask thought provoking questions to the teachers. If we could set a beginning in this direction, then in the near future, quality and qualification can once again be merged into one entity.

Very true article! We are dumped in a box and pushed from behind to get marks. Marksheets are just a piece of paper. Government should take serious steps to inculcate quality education. To make us enjoy studies it should be helpful. Students should be thought to apply studies in life. This will make us love our schools.

Yep.. There is no doubt in saying that our education system has loss it''s quality... A. Judging a fish and a money with Thier ability to climb a tree won''t make a monkey greater than a fish... Everyone are the king of their own kingdom.. Its a waste of time to bark at the wrong tree.. And now the ball is in our court.. It''s our time to stop judge a person just by their marks.. The elvis has to leave the building now its our turn the change to change the system.

True, I agree, It''s a true and good article quality matters more than qualification, Mark sheets are just a piece of paper which anyone can get by wrong ways also, Government should take strict actions on the quality educations.

Yes this is very true as education today is not about leaning but only about grades and marks and thus students are not able to make practical use of the knowledge they have earned .Quality education is the need of the hour now

Atifa Usman Khan PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

By the force from all the sides on us, we simply start running behind the marks . And not enjoy get to enjoy studies in different manner ,and we just mug up it .

P.S Geethanjali Nalanda Vidya Niketan, Vijayawada

I totally agree with you Devang.Even if we have a lot of talent in us they never see it and rather run for marks. It is like if we don''t acquire marks we are seen as fools where as the people who get the highest marks are treated as intelligents.Acquisition of knowledge and skill is important rather than acquiring good marks by mugging up our lessons

shreya Kendriya Vidyalaya

yes, it is right We are Losing Quality In Our Education in the present, we are like racers and our parents and teachers are our couch. they only want that their children go in science fields. some of the parents hate arts and therefore they never give permission to they young one to go in arts or even in commerce fields. in this competitive time people are crazy about grades and percentages actually they forget the real value of education

Roma Ramcoumar Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

10 years before mark mattered a lot . But this generation only your knowledge matters . children should stop by hearting and go with learning with concept methodology .

Moksha Shrivastava BAL BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (NOIDA)

Not exactly, Yes indeed we as students are just pushed to get marks but their are many improvement as teachers are not allowed to hit or beat a child making the child loose self esteem and get scared from school. So their are improvements and some negativity too which shall be improved.
