Bhavana Jaison: Do People Have A Lot Of Free Time?

It seems the Karnataka government is all set to celebrate Tipu Jayanti for the second time on November 10.  Tipu Jayanti is being observed since last year following a  government decision, which set off a major controversy and  caused violence in Kodagu district last November.   BJP and RSS have been opposing the celebrations and mobilising support in favour of their stand. This time, 'Tipu Jayanti Virodhi Samithi’ has called for a Kodagu district bandh on 10th November.
I don't understand why we are fighting for a childish cause? Is it because people have a lot of free time?  What's your point of view?

Look, we cannot say that the people have free time but yes, we Indians often fight for childish cause. Every individual is different and so is his opinion. Celebrating "Tipu Jayanti" will be preferred by some but will also be objected by some. So, it depends.

Everyone is busy with their work. They don''the have time to think of any thing else. we use to fight for childish cause, but we don''t know exact meaning. We may celebrate many days but we refuse to know the cause for celebrating it.

I don''t think we can say that they have free time but we do fight often for such small issues..This is such a petty issue because Tipu Sultan is a great historical figure and we can celebrate a festival for him..

I don''t think that people have a lot of free time but if we tell Indians to fight they will make time even from their busy schedule.. This is what most Indians are.. But some don''t fight even if they have a lot of time..

In fact i think Tipu Jayanti should be celebrated , it will help the children to know more about Tipu sultan - The great king who fought against the British for the sake of his people . We should not forget about our historic patriots as we are moving fast towards development.

It''s very silly on the part of the government to fight for such small issues. Ti just depends upon the mindset of the people whether to celebrate the festival or not. But we can''t say that they have a lot of free time.

I think it is very childish to fight on such issues. If we celebrate such events with zeal its absolutely fine. We celebrate so many such events like the Gandhi Jayanti or Valmiki Jayanti so why dont we protest for these jayantis? I think its totally abrupt of the people who are opposing this.

According to me those who have lot of free time they will never get up for help but who knows the importance of time they will always be ready for help.

yes that is why we are so addicted to futile things.
