Anushka Sharma: Should We Speak Up?

There are times when we know what's the correct thing to say, still we don't because we are not in a habit of speaking up. However, I would say that we should not be like this. Instead, we should speak up whenever necessary. It will help enhance our personality. What do you think about it?

well said Anushka..... in this contemporary era people are ever ready to break us down or control our opinions. But the art speaking up our mind is very important and is again something never taught by our educational system. "what''s the correct thing to say, still we don''t because we are not in a habit of speaking up" beautifully said

Surely,When you know you have done nothing wrong, you have the authority to speak up or even shout to get your point anticipated. In this world, there is no space for people who are scared to speak up or the one who have the habit of getting suppressed without fighting for our rights.we should always speak up whenever necessary and never let it pass by your head

It is absolutely necessary for one to speak up if they know what is right. One must try their best to put aside their diffident and under-confident selves and speak up for what is correct and true. This could, at some times, prevent a wrong decision from being taken on the basis of incomplete knowledge of something. Also, speaking up once gives you the confidence to speak up another time and so on which definitely helps you express your emotions and views on various topics.

Also, if a person does not speak up then they tend to be underestimated and suppressed (as mentioned earlier) by other people. One must definitely establish their point and make sure that people become acquainted with their views on the topic as well. It is always better to stand for something and make your decision clear rather than having people think that you are ignorant about the topic of discussion and underestimate you.

Yes it is very much true, even i have that problem of not speaking up!

Speaking up for what is right is a skill I feel. Not every person have the guts to speak up for the right thing for it requires courage. It is true that sometimes what you are speaking is correct but the society does not accept it and you become the center of controversy but no matter how much people criticize you, you should speak the right thing because when you do so you gain self satisfaction. And self satisfaction is a beautiful feeling.
