Amish Asks, "Why Are We Obsessed With Apple Products?"

iPhone 7 is coming to India, and the world will again start exhibiting its fasciation with the brand. Highly overpriced Apple products are always in great demand. Although they offer almost similar features from its competitor Android, people are still too obsessed with it. I believe more than requirements, people buy Apple products to raise their standards and self-dignity. Apple products have become a medium to boast ones wealth. We are so addicted to Apple products that we overlook the cheaper, but at par Android phones. Why do we do that?

It''s very true that Apple is overrated. I mean, think about it. Apple has a rather confusing interface. Maybe games and stuff, for example, prisma, come into Apple before Android, but when you look at the overall customisation, I think Android provides more varieties.

Nowadays Samsung product provide the same beneficial features as Apple products do. You are surely right. To raise their standards and to show other people what we can afford, we buy these apple products. According to me Samsung products are better than Apple products.

Deeply agree with you, this over obsession should surely be ended.

I completely agree that Apple products are overrated. In order to show off, people just buy them. This pomp and show should come to an end.

Firstly, it good to see somebody raised this question. Apple products now have become a mark of standard and dignity. like once, BlackBerry was! Irrespective of the fact that androids and smartphones give similar features, people go mad for Apple products. This is just because of the nature of show business and flaunting, we people poses.

I think that today the biggest point where we are going wrong is our rising beliefs in misleading ads , suggestions, or even at times the products'' description by salesmen who often exaggerate their goods and cover - up their flaws. Today Apple iPhones and iPads are gaining popularity merely due to the above things. Also being a high-class company, with a renowned owner, it is what it is today.

shaswati singh NAGARJUNA VIDYANIKETAN

Apple phones are indeed overrated. There are various other companies except APPLE who are providing the same products in much cheaper price. Companies like Samsung or actually Ingenious companies like Motorola are providing varied facilities too. "APPLE is the BEST" is what all thinks ( which is not so ).

Khushi Sharma BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

Well, the reason behind the fad for apple products is that nowadays people live with the misconception-"expensive means better". Moreover, owing an apple product has become way to depict one''s socio-economic status and one doesn''t want to miss a chance to flaunt off his possessions. Apart from materialism the other reasons could be secured applications, siri and maybe a vast variety of mobile accessories available in the markets.

Adithya Holla B.G Bethesda International school

Now what we get in apple will be availble in many other phones. Buying apple phone is just a craze. Apple was the latest technology before a few years, now there are too many phones being sold. Maintaining Apple phones well is very difficult. People prefer tabs or other devices instead of apple ipods .
