Shivani: Women Safety Is A Major Concern In India

The safety of women is a big concern in India. As India is famous for its tradition, custom and culture. They also have an equal respect and responsibility in the society.

As they are considered as Goddesses in the Indian scenario. There is a negative aspect of the position and safety of women too. The women play’s several roles throughout her whole life. She is a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a young girl, a small girl, are getting harassed, molested, assaulted, and violated at various places all over the country. The men are like hunters for molesting the women at various places like streets, public spaces, public transport, etc.

Girl students going to school or colleges they have to cover themselves by books or bags or they have to wear clothes which can cover them completely. The girls are not safe with their parents also because some parent sell their girl child just to earn some money. If the girl ignores to go with any person or stops him doing wrong, they throw acid on their faces which spoils the girl’s face and her whole life. Women of India are having equal rights as men in the society as the women occupy half the population of the country.

It is true that women in modern India are joining the high post and on the back of curtain, they are being molested too. In Indian Constitution, the women have equal rights and are free from gender discrimination. Women are continuously facing various problems like sexual harassment, violent victimization through rape, acid attack, dowry deaths, forced prostitution, and much more.

Women are the precious jewels of our planet without whose presence there would be no beauty. It is therefore extremely important to ensure their security and protection. Also, we must fight for their rights such as education and equality. A great example of this is Malala. As we all know, she fought for the right of education and still continues her struggle. It is time that women become united and strive for each other.

Teaching women to cover themselves will not stop men from harassing them.We need to teach even men from a certain age the equality between men and women and so many things.

Women Safety is indeed an important issue of concern, not only for people but for humanity. It must be ensured that not only women but all the citizens of a country stay well and protected. Violation against women is a punishable act. Such activities discourage other women from progressing. And if in a country, the women are not contributing to their utmost best, the country wont be able to prosper.
