Rabia: Women Should Be Given The Same Chances As Men

There was a time when women were not allowed to wear short dresses, get educated, talk to men or go out. But now, in the 21st century, we see women breaking all these stereotypes. They can study, wear what they want, do what they like and talk to anyone they wish.

Many famous women personalities have proved that women are not inferior to men. Astronaut Kalpana Chawla is one of them. Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi has always amazed us with her leadership skills. Women now become doctors, chefs, teachers, waitresses, models and fashion designers. They have excelled and actually bypassed men in these fields. But there are some jobs still considered unsuitable for women, like that of a priest. Some also feel that a job can only be done by men because of their physical strength – a combat soldier for instance.

I agree that men are physically stronger than women, but we cannot ignore the intelligence and intellectual capability of women. Take Shakuntala Devi, ‘The Great Human Computer’ for example! It’s her mental ability rather than physical strength which is needed in most jobs. Most engineers, pilots and architects are men. I think women should also be given the same chances as men to prove themselves. If this is done, we will soon find that all jobs and professions be that of a pilot, soldier, engineer or astronaut, will become suitable and be considered for women.

Obviously women should be given same chances as men because in this new and technological world there are no more differences made between men and women. Both men and women are treated equally. Girls are allowed to go to school and get educated. They do jobs and work hard for the moral support for their family. They get all the facilities and support equally as men get from the family and society. So there mostly no chance that women that may get less opportunities or chances than men.

We should learn to give women a helping hand and a moral support from their society so that they can be the pride and honour of the nation...

A nation''s progress and prosperity can be judged by the way it treats its women folk. Today, the women folk are arising and acting. They have the strength and dynamism that can bring a huge transformation in the society. What they need is a chance! And they have the right to get this golden opportunity that every Indian man gets. They deserve it.

Indeed, women are equal to men in all ways, be it physical or mental. It is just a preset mentality that men are stronger than women. However, if women want, they can do anything they want, they can be equal or even more in their physical strength as compared to men. In such a modern and technologically advanced world, there is no room for gender discrimination. #feminist

Women must always be given an equal chance as that of men. For this freedom, women are struggling from many years yet, they could not achieve it. Most of us think that their is no gender discrimination nowadays but most of them don''t realise that it is still existing. We can see the discrimination mostly in the incomes of the hero and heroin of a movie. Thought in some movies the heroin has a lead role, yet the income of money of men is greater.
