Rabia Khan: Conserve Wildlife

On Earth — the only planet where life is known to exist — humans reside. The most intelligent and advanced of all species, they have, perhaps, also become the most ruthless of all. We have forgotten that God has given animals an equal right to share space with us. Animals are the ‘ornaments of the Earth’, beautifying and glorifying our planet with their unique abilities to fly, run, swim, camouflage, hibernate and migrate. But we humans today have only one aim – to earn money and fame. Even if it is by killing those exotic animals. Our endless greed for money will some day cost this planet a lot. By 2025 as many as one-fifth of all animal species may be lost, gone forever. Someone has rightly said in support of wildlife, “It’s not whether animals will survive, it’s whether man has the will to save them.”

I agree. from yester years, India has contributed to the world''s biodiversity but the past years have seen a degradation of forests which are "biodiversity hotspots". A very prolific writer has once said ~ "God loved the birds and so he created trees, man loved the birds and created cages". We are not worth of calling "humans" anymore.

Very beautifully written, Rabia. I strongly believe that we should conserve and protect our wildlife. The main reason for the extinction of wildlife is pollution. If we try and control pollution, the animals will be saved. I truly believe with you, Rabia that animals are the ''ornaments of the Earth''. They help in making the Earth look more beautiful and more colourful. Animals have contributed to the beauty of the Earth. So we shall protect and save, conserve and protect our wildlife.
