Mehac Kaur: Tabs Can Replace Heavy Bags

Almost all of us need to lift a heavy school bag five days a week. We lift these school bags without knowing its side effects. These heavy school bags often affect our growth, also bending our backs and causing neck problems such as spondylitis.
The schools should introduce the locker system just like the schools and colleges in the west. If the schools cannot afford the cost of building lockers, they can at least introduce Education-Oriented Tablets as a substitute for the textbooks.
Notebooks can still be kept so that our writing habit remains intact. Also, the tablets can be a one-time-payment and updated at the beginning of a new session. I request the Principals of the schools to introduce Lockers/Tablets.

If tabs were allowed to use it could be much easier for us to learn and understand the concepts. Nowadays bags are too heavy and by intro of tabs may reduce the bag weight.

I agree your idea

Why not? This would be of great aid to the students and the teachers alike. Moreover, this step will lead to a reduction in the usage of paper and therefore towards conserving the environment as well.

We can also introduce locker-system in schools. The students can keep their books and other belongings at the school premises and they won''t have to carry books home.

Bala Phanikar Challa Delhi Public School Vadodara

sure, they can but that can cost much and that too for every student. for this reason only they have introduced smart boards/smart class. If tablet are given, then you cant even tell what the students are in it.

If text books not required to carry everyday to school lot of weight reduces. Yes we too face heavy bag problems. Many of times our parents carry these heavy bags till school gate. But school authorities not given any solution to this problem.

This will be a good idea if students use it in a good manner and does not indulge in unwanted activities by the use of tablets.

The tabs also have a lock system through which children cannot download movies, games, songs, etc. Also the tabs are a one-time cost and don''t cost more than 12.5k . The teacher can check in the smart board if children are reading text or not. In short, tabs are the best solution to all our bag related problems.
