Kirthi Says If We Don't Act Now Sparrows Will Be Extinct

The sparrow is one of the most  lovable, small, harmless and social birds. Earlier, we would see sparrows all around us, but now we have to search for even one sparrow. Their population is steadily declining. If we don't pay attention, soon will come a day when sparrows will be extinct. Like all animals and plants in this world, sparrows too are very significant.
Ecological Balance: The sparrow is a member of many food chains. If we harm any food chain it will affect the complete food web.
Pollination in many plants: Sparrows helps in pollination in many plants.
Reduce many diseases : Sparrows eat the larvae of insects and mosquitoes which causes diseases like malaria, dengue etc.
Some reasons for their decline include: Loss of habitat, loss of tree cover, electro magnetic radiation from cell towers, modern agriculture and lack of food and pollution. It’s not just the conservationist, researcher or government agencies that can save the House Sparrow. This bird depends on us to meet its ecological needs and it’s our responsibility to provide it with nesting sites, food, water and to keep its habitat safe.

Sparrows are in threat due to rising pollution. Pollution should be controlled. Secondly the UV rays of the sun are affecting these sparrows. We can protect the ozone layer. Sparrows should be a symbol of helpfulness and this should be socialised everywhere.

With the regular extinction of creatures a day will come when this planet would be a hub of humans and just humans. To protect sparrows from extinction afforestation should be practised to

The little friendly creature is missing. The melodious chirping of sparrows which used to wake us up every morning is missing. But we can still find them by our support and love. They need us,they need our hand to get them out from the rising threats. As in last few decades, the population of sparrows have witnessed a sharp decline. To get them back in our surrounding and to listen that chirp again we are required to take some actions to save the peaceful and loving creatures of the almighty,

To save sparrows, every community, every street, and every house must be home to several trees. It''ll give the sparrows a sense of their home being revived. Wastes like chewing gums and small plastic bits most not be thrown on the streets, for the birds mistake them to be bread crumbs and eat them, ultimately dying of suffocation. Awareness must be spread.

it begins with us....we need to control pollution and make small bird houses

Sparrows are greatly affected due to the electromagnetic radiations. So it is better to grow many trees and build separate sanctuary for their inhabitance. They are also affected by water and air pollution. Government can take necessary steps to reduce the pollution and enhance the growth of sparrows.

The sparrows are under the category of endangered species today. The cellphone towers and pollution are the major cause for it. They must be protected. Only we people can help it. Growing more trees and feeding the sparrows will help it out.

Vishnu Varthan J Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Sparrows are mainly affected by cell-phone towers which emits electromagnetic radiation. We people should take some steps such as keeping the bird feeder in the gardens , growing many trees , pollution control etc. To save this lovable creation government should involve and take some measures.

There has been a great decline in the population of Sparrows in past few years due to the crucial and evil activities practiced by humans. And now it''s high time and there''s a great need for saving Sparrows. We should practice afforestation and we should be eco friendly so as to protect our environment and conserve the bird.

The main reason is the scarcity of food as well as water. Due to the rising heat sparrows need more water but they have a very bad time finding water for them. We can definitely keep some water in a container to save those innocent birds.

It''s really heart-breaking to see these small beautiful birds struggling everyday for their survival. We need to do something.Unless this country known for its biodiversity will be left with almost no flora and fauna. It''s high-time now!

Lack of soil and soil pollution is also a great threat to sparrows. Sparrows have the habit of mud-bathing which kills the germs on their bodies. Urbanization and cementing of ground is a threat to the sparrows. Therefore, it is necessary for sparrow conservation that we leave some space of open dust fields for them.

There used to be many sparrows in my native place. But now there are just one or two, my grandma keeps a bit of rice on the ledge everyday along with water for the sparrows to feed on.

Dont build high moble towers otherwise the the sparrow will get shock and die

Sparrows are lovely, cute birds, but rare in Delhi. Its been years since I have seen a sparrow in Delhi. They provide benefits to nature and they are one of the most ignored topics. We can spread awareness by blogs, social media, assemblies and advertisements. I guess humans are becoming such species that have established themselves in the world, forgetting all about animals. They also need to care for the bad things happening to animals.Making citizens aware is the main duty.
