Kareesmaa: Change your attitude to change your life

I sit by the window gazing at the perfect world around me. The trees swaying in the soft breeze, colourful butterflies flitting around, birds chirping and  the odd car sliding past – everything seems like an ordinary day. It's past five in the morning. After a while I see the buildings aglow with lights as if they’re welcoming another day.

The sun lights up slowly, indicating the arrival of a new day. In an hour I see the streets bustling with school children, men and women. The bustle never dies on the streets until evening when darkness and fatigue take control. Another day has gone.

This goes on and on for many years and even a lifetime, but never have I ever seen someone bubbling with the same energy every day. It's almost as if people are in darkness where the majestic sun cannot reach them. The darkness lies deep within us. It removes the fun, enjoyment and love in life, making it look like a rotten apple. But when you have the choice, what would you choose?

After all, destiny, as it is understood by us, is not written but created by our actions. Our actions do matter and make a difference. Attitude leads creates choices so pick one that glows up your life.
