Ishika Jain: Child Labour Is A Curse. Let's Stop It

Child Labour deprives children of their childhood and ages them prematurely. It leads to social backwardness and has resulted in severe illiteracy, poverty, underemployment and many other social evils in the society. Children are seen as partners in the art of survival. From being a spirited carefree bird answerable to none, they become an over-worked unhappy child with no trace of childhood left in them. It steals away from the children the privilege of being their own master. Child labour is no doubt a curse for the society. It is very pivotal to eradicate it.
Let’s pledge that we will do everything possible to discourage child labour. What according to you can be done to eradicate child labour?

Awareness should be spread among people especially among those who live in rural areas and do not have a suitable economic background that child labour is one of the most disastrous thing.Speedy actions should be taken to stop child labour or it will certainly reach it''s limits.

People should bravely report to the authorities when they come across any places that employ children. We should not turn a blind eye towards it.

Harini MS NAGARJUNA VIDYANIKETAN

Schools can organize events where students go about checking the prevalence of child labor. Any foul events must be reported immediately.

The foremost step one should take is to tell the maids in houses not to send their children to work until they cross 18.This will surely help at some extent.

Priyanshi Banerjee Somerville school, Greater Noida

Awareness is required! Children need to know that helpline numbers do exist which "help" children! Like 1098

Himanshi Dhawan Saffron Public School

Send children to classes, not to wash tea glasses. Child labour stands out to be the biggest obstacle in India''s progress. Let''s do our best to eradicate it from the society.

Sarath Kumar RM Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

Child labour can be eradicated by implementing strict laws. Send children to classes not to wash glasses.

Shreya Patnaik Silver Oaks International School

It is of course very pivotal to eradicate such inhuman crimes and we as the young and next generation can ensure it by supporting such NGO''s as well as see to it that such crimes are diminished around us. There are many ways to do it but the first and foremost way is to spread awareness, these days even real to reel serials are made to spread awareness (Example:Udaan-colors tv)

Chandana Mocharla Oasis School of Excellence

Spreading awareness among educated people about this is not so useful. The thing which really need to be done is spreading awareness about this among the illiterates who send their children to work. And the children who work. Try to convince their minds and turn them towards being an asset of the country.

Archisha Ghosh VIDYA VALLEY

We need to change the mindset of the under privileged adults as they think that sending their children to school is useless as they need the children to help them in their work! And above all they cannot afford sending them to school. So there are schools for them in which everything is free. But yet again its the mindset that is stopping them.

LETS STOP THESE CRUEL ACTIVITES.CHILDREN ARE FUTURE OF THIS WORLD

Nishi Upadhyay BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (SWASTHYA VHR)

Laws come and laws go but all that is left behind is that unchanged picture. I think it''s time for us to fight against child labour.

B. THANISH VARDHAN PON VIDYASHRAM

To stop child labouring there shold be free education

Rajashri Radjane Amalorpavam Higher Secondary School

We can do so much to eradicate child labor. We should first of all know the condition of them and the reason behind it which pushed them to work rather than going to school. Everyone must be responsible as a Indian citizen to eradicate it. The Government of India alone cannot make any move unless we cooperate with them.
