Deetya: The World Isn't As Bad As You Think It Is

As a kid, she had an overactive imagination; she would believe in almost everything around her. She believed in the cartoons she watched, she believed in castles and a knight in shining armour. She would spend her days wandering around, pretending she was a character in her own tailor-made beautiful world. She believed her dolls were alive and had emotions; that's the reason why she probably felt bad if she dropped one on the floor by mistake. Nobody ever called her childish, in fact, they indulged her.

But as time passed, things began to change. Her little world slowly started falling apart. She began to realise it was all a part of growing up. She began to feel isolated and started worrying about her future. Soon enough she realised that the real world is not that pretty. She left her fantasyland and deliberately tried to adjust to the real world. But she missed her carefree days and had a genuine desire to go back.

But living in the factual world taught her a lot of new things – that it wasn't so bad, instead, it was kaleidoscopic, everything fell in a pattern, a sequence. There were no smurfs but there were people; people with different perspectives on life. There were failures – magic couldn't solve them but hard work could. There was success and happiness. The little girl in her realised that the world had moved according to a symphony. It became clear that with a little bit of patience and understanding she would learn to accept the new world that was also hers now.

As I grew older, I grew unhappier. My family and friends dont care for me and I am forced to do things that I don''t have to do. The World is a nasty place, whatever you say.
