Arima: Earth Had A Beautiful Past, But Uncertain Future

The day when everyone gets reminded of our Earth, it is celebrated every year on April 22 in order to protect the Earth. But is that the only day we should lend a hand for protecting Earth?

Earth day was not needed in the past because the past was as beautiful as heaven. No pollution, no garbage, nothing...but a wonderful land with all the creatures living happily.

Now, the world has completely changed. From a graceful country, India has turned into worse. People here have no respect for anyone. Many years ago, people dreamt about an alluring India, but today that dream has fallen down. People carelessly throw garbage, pollute the charming rivers.

The problems are perenial. We are the only creatures who cut a tree, make paper from it and then write ‘save trees’ on them.

We should start worrying about the future, about the ozone layer depletion and decrease in oxygen. We just don't realise what we are doing to mother Earth. We are not leaving anything for the coming generations. Just start doing what’s right, not what is easy.

Use carpool services, by this you are decreasing the automobile pollution and meeting new people. Don’t use plastic bottles as they are harmful for you as well as for the environment. Use water according to your requirements — Cape Town in South Africa has no water left!!

Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. The way we are treating Earth, it will treat us the same way. So, be ready!

There are many such ways to reduce pollution like, Scientists have a new technology to convert carbon dioxide, present in air, into hard rocks and which can be sent to moon. Appliances like A/C and refrigerators emits too much of CFCs in air which doesn''t let the heat to radiate , we can avoid the use of these appliances which might be difficult but will have a significant change after several years. There are many possible ways for saving our earth from pollution but nothing can change if the people are not concerned about this fact .The first and foremost step will be taking a pledge for saving our mother earth by each and every citizen of the society and contribute what ever we can do to save our earth. That is the most important step.
