Aditi: Exercise Is A Celebration Not A Punishment

It was a sunny morning. Birds were chirping. There was cool breeze around me (as the air conditioner was on). How could I feel this?? Of course because I woke up with a strong intention of exercising, but then after a few words of encouragement given to me by my own self, everything next seemed to be delusional. This is not just my 'that one morning' story (P.S: I practice traditional yoga every morning) but most of you will relate to this.

Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do, not punishment for what you ate. Excuses don't burn calories, but exercise does. In today's world it is really necessary for an unhealthy or an obese person to understand that you can either throw the towel or use it to wipe the sweat. One always wonders that, " why am I not having a perfect body, I wish I had a figure such as her."

To those people, please stop wishing and start working. The standard reason for obesity is overeating, so from now on tell your stomach that, "Dear stomach, you're bored not hungry. So please shut up." Making up your mind to exercise daily isn't the most difficult thing, the most challenging thing comes later when you decide to stop; because that's when you understand that I've already gone through pain, I've worked really hard, so I have to get a better result. Don't ever quit because your progress is slow, remember that something is better than nothing and a little progress each day adds up to a megalithic result. Sweat is magic, cover yourself in it daily!
