How To Click Your Pets

If you want to capture such images of your tailed buddies, you need to master a few tricks

Want to flaunt your four legged siblings to the world? Then, you need to learn a few tricks. And we have found the best person in the world to train you on that — model turned photographer Chantal Adair whose clicks of dogs ruled the viral chart.  She also did a shoot around the Father’s Day and even though it’s been a few weeks that we first viewed the images, we just can stop loving the shots. It’s now Adair’s turn to share the secrets of her shoots.

1.Firstly, know what the dog’s motivation to shoot — treats, learning a specific sound or physical praise.

2.Make sure the dog exercises before the shoot, or let him play before the shoot.

3.Photographing multiple dogs is easier as they can entertain each other, which helps the photographer focus on stuff that require attention.

4.Have the dog sniff out the environment so that they are at ease before the shoot.

5.People will stare at you if you’re clicking dogs outside while they are wearing human clothes. So chill!

6.Prepare for accidents! (dogs might pee in your studio!)

7.In between shots make sure the dog is enjoying him/herself. “I usually give a dog a special treat (homemade chicken or a bully stick).

8.There’s only so much time until the dog tells you the shoot is over. And you need listen…their happiness is the most important thing to me.

" I always find beauty in things that are odd & imperfect- they are much more interesting. " - @poochofnyc and @marcjacobs #humpday

9. Reward the pup with a play session afterwards.

My dog is accustomed to the word ''smile''. If I say, "Veer, smile!!" and point a camera at him, he instantly takes a pose. And the photos that come up are phenomenal
