Sri Chaitanya Techno School Emerge Triumphant in NASA Debate

Two hundred and three students of Sri Chaitanya Techno School, successfully completed their US tour to attend the NASA ISDC Conference held from 6th June to 9th June, 2019 at Arlington, USA. The conference is held every year for the participants of the Space Settlement Contest conducted by National Space Society. This year also, as it is customary to it, Sri Chaitanya School topped the contest with 226 Prize Winning students from 36 Awarded projects.

Out of the total 350 students attended the conference, 210 students are from India and out of these 210, 203 are from Sri Chaitanya Techno School alone, making the Biggest ever group to attend the NASA ISDC Conference, in the 26-year history of ISDC Conference. One of the events conducted in the Conference is a Debate on Space Universalization. 8 Teams participated in this Debate. 2 members from Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools were in the Winners Group in this Debate and the Runners Group totally comprised of the students from SriChaitanya Techno School.

In total, Sri Chaitanya School students won 36 Projects in the Space Settlement Contest conducted by the NASA. During the Conference days, the students of our School met the famous Astronauts, Bruce Melnick and Chris Ferguson. The team from Sri Chaitanya visited the Launching Pads and NASA VAB (Vehicles Assembly Building) and learnt many engineering skills and information about the advanced technology trends.

Apart from attending the ISDC Conference, the team of Sri Chaitanya School took a fabulous tour to the cities of New York and Washington, Capitol Building, White House, World Observatory, Disney Land, Coco Beach, Magical Kingdom in Orlando, Kennedy Space Centre, Florida and Niagara Falls in Buffalo. All through the tour, the team of students gained tons of knowledge about the world’s great nation and experienced the elegance of the technological, social and economic advancement of the nation. They expressed their deep gratitude to the Management of Sri Chaitanya for arranging such a good Educational tour for their benefit.  

Dr.Mylsamy Annadurai, Ex-Director of Chandrayaan- I project was invited as the Chief Guest. He inspired the young achievers with his inspiring speech by explaining the launch of the Chandrayaan Project and mission. He also appreciated the school management and the teachers for making an attempt in inducing the ideas in the young minds for the innovative Space Research.  Overall, the students and educators were thrilled to know how to use the various applications of science and technology in the real world.

On this occasion Dr. BS Rao, the Founder Chairman, Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, & Seema, the Academic Directorcongratulated all the Students who attended ISDC  Conference which was held at Arlington, USA. Haribabu ,Head of Operations, Tamil Nadu, expressed his heart felt wishes and congratulations to all the participants. AGMs, Principals, Zonal Deans and Deans also joined in congratulating the students who attended the ISDC Conference.
