Celebrating the pleasures of travelling and fostering a better understanding of the rich heritage of various civilisations, Maharaja Agrasen Model School, Pitampura hosted the Annual Inter-School Extravaganza 'Zenith- Let's reach the pinnacle' under the theme 'International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development'. The event brought to fore the latent talent of the junior students from around 25 schools of Delhi through their enthusiastic participation. The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony and welcome of the guests and participants accorded by school principal Pratibha Kohli. A welcome dance by the students of class-IV paved the way to begin the gamut of competitions scheduled for the day.

The array of activities created a cultural melange with competitions like Aao duniya ki sair kare- Kavita path, Robe de Fantasie- Fancy dress competition, Synchronised Moves, Tapping Feet: Reliving the dances of the world, Tour Around- Enactment as  a tour guide, Travel Canopy: the umbrella tales, Destination Eco tourism: a guide to a green holiday and Global Melange: brides and bridegrooms of the world which were in sync with the theme of ISA Project 2017-18.  

Children presented poems depicting the beauty of travelling around the world and the world as their oyster. Young brides and bridegrooms of the world clad in the prettiest of attires reiterated their cultural rites and rituals. Students also presented a kaleidoscope of colourful costumes in full swing. Capitalising on earth's riches, a power point presentation brought to fore mind-numbing sights of beauty and serenity around the world. Securing different positions in all competitions Indraprastha World School, Paschim Vihar bagged the most coveted Overall Best School trophy. In her vote of thanks, vice principal Simmi Bhatia appreciated the aesthetic acumen of students who celebrated the pleasures of travel and tourism.
