He's the badshah of Bollywood who has conquered one and all with his talent, charisma and hard work. SRK has completed more than two decades in B-town and without a godfather, has done supremely well for himself. As King Khan continues to rule the Hindi film industry, here's a look at some of the star's biggest career hits!

Baazigar - Early on in his career, King Khan experimented with his roles. In Baazigar, he played the negative lead. Also starring Kajol and Shilpa Shetty, SRK brought out his best as he played a killer in this Abbas-Mustan directorial. It was a bold step that Shah Rukh Khan took but it paid off and the film was a big hit. Baazigar is considered to be one a landmark films in SRK's career.

Happy New Year - With a multi-starrer like this one, Happy New year (HNY) was bound to be a hit. In terms of storyline, the film was not as powerful as SRK's previous movies but HNY entered the 100 crore club and it seemed like a cakewalk for the team. HNY broke many records at the box office and is considered as an important film in the actor's career.

Om Shanti Om - SRK worked hard on his body and achieved a six pack abs, thus proving his mettle as an actor once again. Not only that, Shah Rukh also played a double role in this movie, which explored the theme of reincarnation. Deepika Padukone made her debut in 2007 with this Farah Khan film and even walked away with a Filmfare award. As for SRK, he just went on to prove that he truly is the badshah of Bollywood.

Chennai Express - Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express broke all records in 2013. SRK played a 40 year old North Indian man who falls in love with a young South Indian girl. This masala entertainer turned out to work very well for Deepika, King khan and Rohit Shetty and became a blockbuster hit! Since SRK has a huge fan following among the NRI crowd, the film was very well received in the overseas market too.

Veer-Zaara - A story about cross-border love, Veer-Zaara was special in many ways. It was directed by the late and iconic filmmaker Yash Chopra. The music of the film, based on old compositions by the late Madan Mohan with lyrics composed by Javed Akhtar and a star cast including SRK, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji, made Veer-Zaara it a memorable film. There was a lot of anticipation around the movie and upon its release, became a blockbuster. Not only that, Veer-Zaara travelled to many prestigious film festivals around the world and swept all the major awards that year, including a National Award. Preity Zinta and SRK as Zaara Hayat Khan and quadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh respectively, made this love story eternal with their portrayal of their characters. Truly, this was a remarkable film that is considered as one of SRK's finest performances.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge Dilwale -Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) needs no introduction. One of the biggest romantic Bollywood films ever made, DDLJ has gained a cult status and in Mumbai's Maratha Mandir, it has been running tax free for the past 19 years. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol had worked earlier in Baazigar but after this film, they became the 'it' jodi of Bollywood. SRK as Raj Malhotra made his character immortal and the film became so iconic, that many filmmakers were inspired by it and tried to recreate the SRK and Kajol magic on the silver screen. Till date, the movie is played on TV and nothing has changed since. SRK and Kajol also came on a popular chat show recently to celebrate the film completing 1000 weeks at Maratha Mandir. Such has been the impact of the movie. It remains one of the most loved Bollywood films of all times and also marked the debut of director Aditya Chopra.

Devdas - After Dilip Kumar, SRK attempted to play the forlorn and drunk lover in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Devdas. This was a truly landmark movie in Shah Rukh's career as it required him to transition from a barrister to a drunkard. This also brought together SRK and Aishwarya together once again, after Josh and Mohabbatein. Like a typical SLB film, everything about this movie was extravagant, from the dance sequences to the sets, the costumes and the story telling. SRK also paired up with dancing diva Madhuri Dixit in the film. Devdas was also screened at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival and it was India's entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars in 2003.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai - SRK teamed up with cousins Kajol and Rani Mukerji in one of the biggest blockbusters ever. This film also marked the directorial debut of Karan Johar. The film was received very well and went on to break many box-office records. Shah Rukh's style in the movie in particular went on to become a rage with many young men and boys sporting the body hugging Polo shirts he wore in Kuch Kuch... The film explored the themes of love and marriage in a beautiful manner and SRK and Kajol's chemistry once again created magic on the silver screen. All in all, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a fun film that won awards in all the major categories that year and made Shah Rukh Khan all the more popular.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... - Karan Johar loves films that are larger than life and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (K3G) proved to be just that. With a stellar star cast comprising of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, SRK and Kajol and Hrithik and Kareena, K3G was a blockbuster in every sense of the word. In spite of so many actors in one frame, SRK held his own as the older son of the Raichand household. His onscreen relationship with Big B and Hrithik was a sight to see and King Khan once again played the romantic hero, albeit in a more mature manner. K3G became a talking point for all the right reasons, including the clothes, actors, songs and the characters, especially Bebo as Pooh.

My Name Is Khan - Shah Rukh Khan challenged himself once again when he played an autistic person in this Karan Johar directorial. Starring the hit jodi of King Khan and Kajol, My Name is Khan did well in India and in the overseas market too. The movie was highly appreciated and Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's performance drew a lot of praise from all quarters. KJo, Kajol and SRK bagged all the major awards that year including a Filmfare each under the Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor category. This film stands out in SRK's career as it was one of his stellar performances as he had never played a mentally challenged person before on the silver screen.

Dil Toh Pagal Hain - This was SRK's third collaboration with YRF, after Darr and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Starring SRK, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar in a special appearance, DTPH has been one of the biggest films to come out of the YRF camp and has gained a cult status. This certainly was one of the top 10 films directed by the late Yash Chopra. Shah Rukh Khan as Rahul, made girls go weak in the knees. A musical film, DTPH was loved by audiences across the world and the movie's box office performance spoke for itself.
