Geethanjali: 5 Superstar Films That Have Bombed

If you think that a movie would be a hit if it contains a Khan or a Kapoor or a Bachchan without any content. Then here are five films in 2017 which will prove that your assumption is wrong.

1.Jab Harry met Sejal : Everybody had high expectations on this movie and all have been looking forward to see Imitiaz Ali play his magic with the romance of Shah Rukh Khan added to it. The Rab ne Bana Di Jodi of SRK and Anushka has just increased it but the film was not atleast to the least of them. Shah Rukh Khan's hopes where all on this movie as his recent movies Dilwale and Raees were also flops.Jab Harry met Sejal has been a disaster as it has collected only 54 crores in these 5 days and the collections are said to drop still as Toilet:Ek Prem Katha is going to hit the theatres.

2.Tubelight:Salman Khan has been on a high five as all his recent films have been doing well at the Box-office. Tube light has put a stop to his success. The light of this film might has no proper fuse behind it.The content was not so strong driven. The wonderful acting of Sohail Khan as a brother or Shah Rukh Khan's cameo as a magician wasn't able to stop this Salman Khan's film from being switched off.The collections of this film have been less than 125 crores

3.Jagga Jasoos:There are various reasons to why this film is a flop let it be various delays caused in the film's release to lack of a proper plot.Everthying was a problem.Be it Ranbir Kapoor's or Katrina's acting nothing was able to save this Anurag Basu's Film from tanking at the Box-office.The collections of this film have stood at 54 crores approximately.

4.Rangoon:Vishal Bhardwaj had set out to make a modern day Casablanca, but audiences were indifferent from day one.He tried to make a beautiful love triangle between the star cast of Saif Ali Khan,Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor in the old era set in the backdrop of war but it has been misfired. The lifetime collections of this film stood at Rs.23 crores.

5.Sarkar 3:An Amitabh Bachchan film has never made this much low earnings as this film made. This Ram Gopal Varma directed film has not been able to make atleast 10 crores. The lifetime collections of this film stood at 9.5 crores.

So,after reading this article I am sure that you would not make a movie plan blindfolded just because there is some superstar in it.

Yeah! People blindly buy tickets if their superstar is leading in the film. I dint watch any of the above mentioned films, except Dilwale! It also because that I don''t understand the language and another reason is because of the reviews on the film''s.

When is the last superhit blockbuster that came out in Bollywood? Dangal, perhaps. That was a year ago. 2017, unfortunately, has not been an amazing year for the industry of Bollywood. Every megastar, be it Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan or Aamir Khan is failing to delight the audience with their performances. I haven''t seen all the movies except Jagga Jasoos but if I go by the reviews, I presume all these films are complete flops. Come up with something good, Bollywood!
