Deepika, Hrithik In ‘Ramayana’ Movie?

Filmmakers Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar are getting ready to treat the audience to a live-action trilogy, ‘Ramayana’ which will reportedly have Hrithik Roshan as Lord Rama and Deepika Padukone as Sita. While it has been alleged that Hrithik has given his nod to the project, producer Madhu Mantena is keen to get Deepika on board.

According to reports doing the rounds, the director has neither clarified or denied these reports of this casting coup, but merely said that he isn’t thinking about the cast, but working on getting things right on paper. While saying that the team is working on executing the script and getting the thought processes right, he added that everything else is for later.

Opening up in an exclusive chat with ETimes, director Tiwari opened up about his ambitious project saying, “I am looking forward to working in ‘Ramayana’, something that I am really excited about. Once done with ‘Chhichhore’, I will go back to start working for ‘Ramayana’. It is a challenge for me as I have a sense of responsibility to bring the project in its true form of glory for the country.”

Set to release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, this film will reportedly be shot in a 3D format.
