B Day Boy Ranbir Kapoor's Top 7

With each passing year, the Kapoor lad has just bettered himself and mastered his art effortlessly. He has gone to establish himself as one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood.

Let's take a look at his best seven films!

Saawariya

Ranbir Kapoor made his début with `Saawariya` and did he turn heads? Plenty and how! His towel dance `Jab Se Tere Naina` became an instant hit with the women. Though the movie did not do well, both Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor were well recieved.

The movie earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut in 2007.

Wake Up Sid

This is yet another of Ranbir's stellar performances. With his natural flamboyance the film captivated many hearts as one could identify easily with the aimless young lad on-screen. Also the lead pair- Ranbir and Konkana Sen Sharma - caught the attention of viewers for the unusual pairing on-screen.

And there is no prize for guessing that this won him the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor in 2009.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

Then came `Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani` in 2009 with his now alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif. Their chemistry on-screen worked just right for the audience and everybody simply loved Ranbir's image as the lover-boy in the film.

He was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Actor for it.

Raajneeti

The political drama which released in 2010 saw yet another side of Ranbir. For the first time he played an intense character on-screen breaking away from his lover-boy image. `Raajneeti` proved his versatility and by then he had carved a niche for himself in this industry. Truly he pulled it off well

Rockstar

Ranbir's portrayal of Janardhan "Jordan" Jakhar in Imtiaz Ali's `Rockstar`, a drama that follows the journey of an aspiring musician from a humble background to international stardom, can be called as one of his best roles in his career. Critical praises started pouring in from all quarters and so did the awards.

For the role, Kapoor won both the Best Actor and Best Actor (Critics) trophies at the 57th Filmfare Award ceremony, along with Best Actor awards at Screen and IIFA.

Barfi!

After 'Rockstar` it seemed Ranbir aimed to reach for the stars. Anurag Basu's `Barfi!` in 2012 established Ranbir as one of the best lead actors of his generation.

`Barfi!` received praise from the critics, and the performances of the three lead actors - Ranbir, Ileana D'Cruz and Priyanka - were all appreciated.

He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani

`YJHD` turned out to be one of the most highest grossing movies of 2013. The movie was hyped mainly because it saw ex-flame Deepika and Ranbir pair after their much publicised break up. Playing Bunny, who moves from place to place because of his passion as a committed photographer, the versatile Ranbir once again wins all hearts oozing oodles of charm.

He was also nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
