Pep Up, With ‘Me Time’
Kajal Chhatija, principal, Global Talent International School

In the 21st century, it is high time for all of us to dedicate some time for ourselves and focus on our thoughts, let's name it as "Me Time". Every morning, give only 10 minutes to sit back and run your thoughts over what best suits your body and what doesn't really work. Slowly and gradually, you will end up understanding many facts and you will learn the skill of training your mind. It will then become your subordinate and you can then command the mind to fulfill your dreams and aspirations.
Always remember to complement your task with lots of hard work, dedication and concentration. This "Me Time" will also help you to know yourself better and will work wonders to acquire intra and inter-personal, social and emotional skills. After all, it is all about being happy and feeling content in our regular routine commitments.
I could relate this 'Me Time' with my own personal and professional growth. I started my career being a co-teacher and today I am the principal of a school. Though the entire journey has not been easy, it had its ups and downs, but I have learnt by doing and following my mentors religiously.

  • Here are a few mantras for you all to fulfill any task:
  • Start your day with meditation.
  • Do plan and list down the things to do, at least, roughly in your brain.
  • Try to accomplish maximum of the 'to do' points.
  • You must have a mentor whom you look up to, follow his/her instructions and have a tinge of your creativity and innovation to it.
  • Take feedback and suggestions from your best buddies.
  • Believe in team work.
  • Respect others' opinions.
  • Lastly, but very important- Love yourself the most.
