What's On A Millennial's Reading List

If you are looking for your next read, you've come to the perfect place. While there are a host of exciting titles to look forward to this year, we decided to sift through some unconventional classics that need to be on your bookshelves too. We got three millennial women to talk about the one book that changed their life, and which they would highly recommend as a must-read.

1. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
"My mom gave this book to me when I was in college, and I think it helped shaped so much of my growing up years. I love the mystical element of the book and more than that I think the story helped me realise what kind of adult I wanted to grow up to become."
- Sanaa Nizami, 24

2. Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom
"I got my hands on this book quite by accident. I was visiting my sister's home in Mumbai, and this was on her bookshelf. I started reading it, but soon had to stop because, turns out, she was reading it too and she wanted to get to the end first. I ended up crying like a baby while reading this story (and so did she) about a beloved teacher and a student, and how life can be so much more that what we think. It also made me realise that on most days, our problems are really not that big of a deal. Plus, I think this book helped the bond between me and my sister like nothing else did."
- Gayatri Chouhan, 26

3. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

"I have a great passion for love stories and what can be better than this classic? The book is so hopeful at all times and that, in itself, will keep you hooked. No matter what happens, Jay Gatsby always manages to find just the right silver lining. I think it also taught me a lot about love, and how even though it is beautiful, it is not always meant to be."
- Ayushi Nair, 23
