The Guide To Literary Demigods

Who were they?

The Demigods from Rick Riordan's books are half gods and half humans.

How they were created
Gods fell in love with humans and had their children. These children are called demigods. The human parent is not allowed to reveal the identity of the childs Godly parent. Because the demigods have special scent by which monsters will be able to identify and attack them.

Identifying some of the Demigods and their parentage:
Percy Jackson is the child of Poseidon, the Greek God of ocean. He lives on Earth and can control water, speak to sea creatures and horses. Percy can talk to horses because Poseidon created them.

Annabeth Chase is the daughter of Athena greek godess of Wisdom.

Leo Valdez is the son of Hephastus, the Greek God of fire.

Nico De Angelo is the son of Hades, the God of death and wealth.

Piper is the daughter of Aprodite the Godess of beauty and love.

Satyrs ( beings with the upper body of a human and lower body of a goat) are sent to schools all over the world to bring the demigods to 'camp half-blood'.

What is Camp Half-Blood?
In the camp, demigods are trained to face all sorts of monsters in the mortal world. A Magical mist is spread throughout the boundaries of Camp Half-Blood to keep the monsters away. The weather can be controlled in the camp. Once they enter camp half-blood , the demigods are claimed by their godly parent.

Demi-gods have always been an interesting concept. Somewhere between humans and gods, it provides for a critical analysis of the life of an individual with speculations of a higher and moral alternate universe.

Rick Riordan writes amazing books and I think that the Percy Jackson books and the heroes of Olympus are the best of his books. The term demigod is a very interesting one.I ask others to try both Percy Jackson and heroes of Olympus series.
