The Big Seven And Their Deeds

Acclaimed Author J.K. Rowling referred to Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch as the Big Seven who played the role of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood respectively, in the Harry Potter Film series.

Here are some deeds done by the characters played by the Big Seven:

1. Harry Potter Sorted into Gryffindor House, he is a brave boy and our hero. He defeated the evil Wizard Voldemort and saved hundreds of lives. He has been the hope of millions. It is really a brave thing if you know you are walking towards Voldemort to meet your death, but it is really a noble thing if you are know that if you die many lives could be spared. Harry is compassionate to all creatures including house-elves. The really sad part is that Harry loses many of his close ones in his life. He has never given up hope because he knows that he has to do it. Harry Potter is truly, truly amazing.

2. Hermione granger Here comes the wise witch! No, not only she is wise but also she is one of the best friends of Harry Potter. Hermione is the one who thought of forming the DA and because of her Fake Galeons, Neville can communicate with Dean and Luna in Deathly Hallows. Without Hermione, Harry and Ron would have been caught after Kingsley's Patronus landed in the wedding. Harry and Ron could not have survived the Quest for Horcruxes without her.

3. Ron Weasley Harry’s best friend and a true Gryffindor, he has become a prominent character in the Harry Potter series. Being brought up with Fred and George, Ron has learnt some truly funny jokes that entertain us throughout the books. Ron’s family is poor but a very happy family. Without Ron, Voldemort would have survived because if he hadn’t rescued Harry from the frozen pool harry would have been strangled to death.

4. Draco Malfoy You may be thinking why Rowling including Draco among the Big Seven but actually I think Rowling’s right. Draco isn’t a typical villain. He’s only jealous and he was under lots of pressure when Voldemort ordered him to kill Dumbledore. Draco had always remained a character we hate but after the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, we knew that there was still hope for this character. It was Draco who led the death Eaters into the castle the day Dumbledore died but it was the same Draco who had lowered his wand in front of Dumbledore.

5. Ginny Weasley Ginny has been mentioned 771 times in the series and she is fierce, funny and good-looking. She was the one who suggested how to distract Dolores Umbridge in Order of the Phoenix. She was one of three people who continued Dumbledore’s Army when Harry, Ron and Hermione left. She is also a good Chaser and a true Gryffindor.

6. Neville Longbottom The round-faced boy who kept losing his toad went on to become one of Gryffindor’s bravest. It was Neville who tried to fight Voldemort when everyone believed Harry to be dead. It was he who tried to steal the sword of Gryffindor when Harry left Hogwarts. In Harry’s Third Year when Lupin was teaching about Boggarts, it was Neville who imagined Snape in his grandmother’s attire.

7. Luna Lovegood It is a known fact that Ravenclaws invite eccentrics. Luna is one of them. She was the one who suggested the idea of using Thestrals in Order of the Phoenix. Luna just knew what to say when Dobby died. Luna is intelligent though people consider her Loony. She went on to become a renowned naturalist but never managed to find a Crumple-Horned Snorkack, This proves that Luna is just as sane as you are.

Harry Potter is the best novel I have seen.

I would say that he is the most realistic, dynamic and the most perfectly flawed character that JK Rowling had to offer, who has learned from his imperfections throughout the series.

He would be Ron Weasley

I love the part where Neville''s biggest fear comes out in the form of Snape and that too in his grandmother''s attire.

i just LOVE Ginny. She is often underestimated by Potter fans. She is fierce, funny, outgoing and loves trying new things. Her spellwork is also fantastic.Harry describes her as a ''rarely weepy'' person, suggesting that she is strong on the inside as well as outside. She is always ready to face problems, and is loved by her six overprotective elder brothers. How can people not fall in love with such a character?

The Harry Potter series is certainly my favourite books to read and movies to watch. Harry with his courage, Hermoine with her knowledge, Ron with his friendly nature, Ginny with her boldness, Draco with his innocence, Neville with his bravery, and Luna with her cleverness. The big seven are certainly the ones who are loved by all.
