Must Read For Hogwarts Graduates

Hello wizards and witches. Our fantastical-fictional appetite has (kind of) taken a hit, because post the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this year, we have no books to look forward to at the moment (we are fans, what can we say!). While re-reading the previous Harry Potter books is always a great idea, the fact remains that we need new doses of magic in our lives. We've put on the reading glasses, and gotten our hands (wands?) on six amazing books that will rebuild your trust in magic, and a beautiful story. They are a must-read for all Hogwarts graduates.

1. The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
This is a story about a man who goes back to his childhood home with a faint memory of having a friend living in the corner house, who used to claim that there was an ocean at the end of her lane. He goes back and meets her relatives, and relives all those memories: that includes a worm that is actually an evil spirit, and a murder that changed the course of everyone's lives.

2. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
Narnia is as magical as Hogwarts. The first three books are about the Pevensie children who are the kings and queens of the magical kingdom, while the subsequent books focus on telling you all about the history and future of Narnia. You'll love getting lost in this magical world, and discovering all its wonders.

3. The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge
When orphaned Maria Merryweather arrives at Moonacre Manor, she cannot believe how wonderful her life has become. She loves her new guardian, Sir Benjamin, and the place seems like paradise. Harry, Hogwarts and Dumbledore vibes all rolled in one. Plus, J. K. Rowling herself mentioned that she loved the book as a child.

4. The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic by Emily Croy Barker
The story seems a bit like Alice in Wonderland, with Nora Fischer wandering off after she realises that her boyfriend is about to marry another woman, and accidentally walks into a different world where she transforms from a graduate student into a stunningly beautiful woman. Her new life has everything - glamorous friends, and a whirlwind romance - until things start going horribly wrong.

5. City of Dark Magic by Magnus Flyte
When Sarah Weston lands a summer job at Prague Castle, she has no idea how dark and dangerous her life is going to become. Strange things begin to happen the moment she starts work, and she soon realises that her mentor, who was once working at the castle, might not have committed suicide after all. City of Dark Magic is her journey to understand the truth, while also managing to get arrested, discover a time-warping drug, meet a four-hundred-year-old dwarf, and a very handsome Prince Max.

6. Percy Jackson and The Olympians by Rick Riordan
Percy Jackson is your average teenager who discovers that he is the son of Poseidon, God of the sea. He also realises that Greek mythology is a very real, and his life pretty much depends on it. The book narrates his story, as he goes off to Camp Half-Blood, and because he is half-human and half-immortal (and also the son of one of the biggest Gods) he has immense talent, and is one of the most powerful demi-gods alive. He also gets two friends to help him deal with this new life. We aren't going to say anything else.

Harry and Percy all the way! They are awesome stress-busters and build a whole new aspect of magic. Witches are supposed to be evil, cackling creatures? Then you haven''t met Hermione and Ginny! Gods are supposed to models of goodness? Oh please! You will think otherwise once you meet Gaia and Hades. These are must reads for teenagers all around the world.

I think that there are only two series which can replace Harry Potter fully. And those would be Lord Of Ring by J.R.R Tolkhein and The Chronicles Of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, Pauline Baynes. The books have magic in them an they are really delightful and adventurous. That''s why i think these books are a must reads for fiction lovers.
