Should India Promote IPL for Womens' Cricket Team?

Businessmen sponsored many sports tournaments in India for there recreation recently they had encouraged females to come ahead in feild of sports by introducing and sponsoring female sports tournaments. But still we are not having IPL womens team. Is this because people don't want to watch female playing crickets? The answer is a big "NO" because we are well aware about the RIO Olympics during which more than 17million of Indian watched PV Sindhu's badminton match which left them enchanted with such a brilliant performance and made people attracted towards badminton for several months.

Furthermore people watch Deepa Karmakar playing in a large number and how can we forget about the Women's Kabaddi League held in 2016. I think its much for us to conclude that the new India is having interest in women sports as well, and if women IPL would be there, it will take the game forward and players will love to present there best.It will create a great atmosphere and people will gradually start attracting to the female matches as well.

Whats your opinion? Should there be IPL for women in 2018?

Yes, I believe that there should be IPL for women in 2018 as nowadays women are excelling in every field. They have their hockey team and cricket team. They should encourage more and more women to come and join the Indian Premier League. It will promote women empowerment. Nice question!!!

I feel that there should be IPL for women in 2018... it would be a good move especially as it would encourage women. It will be a step to change the stereotypes and prejudices of people and would help spread the message that women besides men can do everything... Waiting for women''s IPL next year..,

Yes I feel there should be IPL for women in 2018. Women team is not popular as men team. Even in women team there are players more efficient. This will be a chance for them to stay in people''s heart

Today, the 21st Indian century women is reaching new horizons and is scripting new roles. Today modern woman is so deft and self-sufficient that she can be easily called a superwoman, juggling many fronts single-handedly. Women are now ambitious and are proving their metal not only on the home front, but also in their respective professions. Today, the Indian women demands opportunity and the Indian male-dominated society is compelled to give it to her. So, I vote in favor of IPL for women.

Yes. People always think that women do not like cricket, but this taboo is surely wrong as you can see the female fan following in the current IPL itself. I hope that BCCI would look into this. Let this be a way to popularize women taking part in sports and we breaking the limits set by the elders.

Business sponsored sports events like IPL carry lucrative ''interests'' of business classes and stakers. One reson why IPL for women is not organised is due to the lesser level of entertainment it provides in comparison to what the men''s cricket provides.I appreciate the idea of women''s edition to the game as it could be a way of popularising women cricket. But yet the women''s cricket teams must upgrade their cricket skills to perform as good as the male teams.

If the BCCI promotes women''s cricket and makes it popular, people will take interest in that too because Indians are crazy for cricket anyways. But we cannot force the public into watching women''s cricket if it doesn''t appeal to them. Serious attempts should be made to encourage women''s cricket. It will be a great step to change the stereotypical mindset of cricket which is called as the ''gentleman''s game''.

India should promote IPL for women. Many women are interested in cricket but do not pursue it because they do not get enough support or opportunities. It may not happen instantly but it should happen gradually to give equal chances and importance to women who want to make it big in sports

We must have IPL for women too because nowadays women are going ahead in everything. There is an indian women cricket team who have matches, but it is not supported and is not given any importance. Women have excelled in all fields.

Emima Thangapandi PADUA HIGH SCHOOL-MANKHURD

Yes, of course. Women are not less than men

Dhwani Advani UNIVERSAL HIGH SCHOOL-DAHISAR(E)

Yes, there should certainly be a Womens'' IPL in the coming years as it will give a chance for many talented female players to come forward and shoe their talents.

HARSH RAI ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL PRTC BANGALORE

Yes, there should an IPL for women taking place yearly. Since the Indian women cricket players don''t get to play lots of international cricket, this would keep them in good shape at least for the shorter format of the game. And when you are doing well in shorter format, you''re confident. This results in a better play in internationals. But when its about IPL of women,I dont think that people will support this as that of mens as IPL is more about fan following.

Sandhya Srinivas TRIVENI PUBLIC SCHOOL

yes ,there should be IPL even for women as they should also be treated like men cricket teams .it is actually a good cause . as even women are capable of playing well in world cups and other matches ,women should have IPLs

Shriya National Centre for Excellence

Yes I think we should promote IPL for women as today''s girls will be inspired to take sports as a career and it will reduce the discrimination and stereotype that women cannot enter fields men excel . The Indian women''s team in cricket is also an excellent team so this would be a brilliant way to display and promote their skills and talent. Playing in India might also give them an extra bout of energy which help them excel in international tournaments.
