Should India ban euthanasia of animals in shelters?

Taiwan has banned euthanising animals in shelters.Should India do the same? Register to comment below.

Every animal has the right to live. I am confident that an awareness programme will help shelters to collect donations and food for the animals from the common man. India should definitely adopt

India should follow Taiwan’s move because the animals kept in captivity are there to be protected not euthanised. It is better to let them die a natural death instead of putting them to sleep. Moreover, why would anyone want to kill an animal that’s not harming humans in any way?
Rajan Chitrao, class VIII, NES Int’l School, Mumbai

It is sad that people are so inconsiderate that they let go of their pets, which leads to overcrowding at animal shelters. Euthanasia isn’t the solution for this problem. We, the people, need to become more responsible in order to do away with such inhumane acts.

In the United States and other parts of the world, pets are considered to be part of the family or best friends. Owners will go to great lengths to make sure they provide the best care for their pets. That is why, putting a pet to sleep can be one of the most difficult decisions to make. However, some will insist it is better to euthanize an animal rather than letting them suffer. Opposing proponents believe that euthanasia is unethical and that any person or pet should die naturally.

In the course of scientific research or testing, animals may be euthanized in order to be dissected, to prevent suffering after testing, to prevent the spread of disease, or other reasons.. So if it will ban then it effects on human because they use to share our resourse and the big reason is that it will harm human because of the disease that they hold ..... so if there is no option rether then this then firstly save human....and save other healthy anims...

Animal''s should be consider as a part of family. And i don''t think that they are harming us by any-way.After-all the animal''s are those who help''s owner in difficulty. And if they are killing them they are killing thier own protector. We should safe them nor kill them. And we should also look they are in safe hand''s or not..

Animals are a part of the society , and as human beings have a upper hand in the society we should not leave the other species just for our comfort. It is our duty to take care of them and encourage others to do the same.
