Is It A Good Move To Link Aadhaar And Mobile Phone?

I think this is a path-breaking decision by the government. Every day we witness increase in incidents of fraudulent calls, prank calls, cloning sim etc. This is mainly due to false identification of customers, which leads to nefarious acts. Through aadhaar, we will have full proof identification to get a sim card and enhance efficiency and safety net for customers.

While this move might make us vulnerable to hacking, linking aadhaar and mobile has its advantages too. It will help identify individuals involved in any suspicious activity and the exercise of keeping a check on them easy. Tracking of that individual will make the work easier and efficient.

This move will violate the citizen's privacy and the telecom operators could use the data for commercial benefits. It will have harmful repercussions and should be thought several times before implementation. Linking aadhaar and mobile numbers can open up the possibility of massive data leakages.

It seems to be a ground breaking move prima facie but it does poses a grave threat to the Netizens of today as earlier it came to light that while signing up for promoting Aadhar, the credentials of M.S. Dhoni which were linked to his Aadhar were leaked which even contained his fingerprints. Thus it would make the system vulnerable in itself as Aadhar is not secure. With viruses like WannaCry virus on the rise Aadhar would serve as an ideal target compromising cyber security of the masses.

It''s a superb move.. In this era of technology and modernisation, such a step will work as a healer over the victims of the ill of the same. It will keep us speculate the correctness of a person''s identity. Now it''s our onus to cooperate with the same.

Yes, it is a good move to link Aadhaar card to mobile number as it will add extra layer of security to your sim cards and nobody else can get a connection on our name or do frauds with us

In this world, everything has its good as well as bad sides. This move will help to track the criminals. But if we see properly, then it would be a door to enter into the privacy of commoners. Since the goverent always thinks for the betterment of public,so this topic should be thought over and over again. Name-Parswati Sen Class-IX Stratford Day School

Its a good step taken by government . It can make our day to day life more easy

I think this is a ground breaking decision by the government as it would help identify false sim cards and improve the safety of the citizens of our country but the government should also ensure that this database is secured so tht there are no leakages

Yes off course because when you have lost your phone and if it is linked with Aadhaar you could easily find your phone, one more fact is that if your Aadhaar is linked you could show your phone with Aadhaar facility at airport or else where.

Roma Ramcoumar Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

I strongly disagree with this . It becomes an issue of privacy . something''s are to be kept to be secret and they are to be . This cant be shared to the government .

Yes it is a good move to link your Adhaar to your mobile number as it will prevent hacking and spams. Another pro for it is that after linking you don''t have to carry the Adhaar everywhere. Nowadays, every other person has got a phone.

P Meghana LAWRENCE HIGH SCHOOL

It is a good move and will be very useful if someone loses their phone.

RK Anjan Athitya Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

i STRONGLY OPPOSE ROMA ''S VIEW BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GOING TO INVOLVE IN YOUR PRIVACY IF THEY IT''S OFFENCE. THIS PROCESS WE CAN REALLY BE USEFUL TO CYBER CRIME DEPARTMENT AND THE DEFENCE DEPARTMENT TO FIND NATIONAL CRIMINAL. I REALLY ENCOURAGE IT

It is not a good move to link aadhar and phone number because it can leak private information. But there are many benefits too
