Is India Being Run By Dynasties?

India is being run by dynasties, says Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. Do you agree with his views?

We have witnessed several instances of nepotism in politics all over the country and it wouldn't be wrong to say that it has been quite like a family business. New aspirants find it difficult to enter mainstream politics but the children of renowned politicians are presented with a ready ‘seat’ to take over.

India is not being run by dynasties. The incumbent PM, President, Vice-President, chief ministers of many states are not dynasts. Most of them come from middle-class humble backgrounds. It’s their hard work, talent and dedication that has helped them scale great heights.

Yes, the India political scene is run by dynasties.  But then, if the heir or chosen one is fit and capable for the role, there is no harm in promoting the individual. However, they should not be handed a role and responsibility because they have famous parents.

Yes, India is being ruled by dynasties. If not directly, then indirectly! Ofcourse new young people find it very difficult to enter politics. If India wasn''t actually following nepotism then all the political and government authorities would be educated. But it is not! This condition has to change!

It is not wrong to say that India is run by dynasties. It is not just about politics. From organised to unorganised sector everywhere dynasties enjoys more priority than one who is capable. Like other things dynasties also have its positive and negative side

Even today we are controlled by dynasties as the old kings are still into politics and it is like monarchy where even if a person doesn''t deserve a post they get it because of their parents.

I am proud to say that our Prime Minister was a tea seller in his childhood. Our president is a Dalit(untouchable). With these facts, how can we say that India is being run by dynasties? In fact, our country is the first democratic country in the world. So there is no space to say that our country is being run by dynasties.
