I Think it should become a continent as some of our population can settle there which decreases over population

Hemalatha.G Sethu Bhaskara Matriculation Higher Secondary Scho

Yes! I think it should become world''s eight continent. For so many years the answer for the Q, remains same. Atleast students in future write aa different answer😀!

Akshitha BRILLIANT GRAMMER SCHOOL

No , because if one more continent arises also there will no development. so first, let''s bring unity and development in this 7 huge lands (continents).

I prayed To god so many times to have a name in toistudent and now I have got it

Ronit.R National Hill View Public School

I think newzelandia cannot be made another continent due to it''s small area and also because most of it is situated under the oceans

Vihan R. Yalamanchili DDMS P.OBUL REDDY PUBLIC SCHOOL

No, Zealandia shouldn''t be the world''s eighth continent. Come on, most of it is submerged under the oceans. Once climate change is reversed and sea levels increasing its size, then it could be called a continent. Not in the 21st century, maybe in the 50th (that was just a joke). Now it is just New Zealand and a group of islands.

SAKSHI ST. ALBANS SCH SEC-15 FARIDABAD

Actually , Zealand is a nearly submerged mass of continental crust that sank after breaking away from Australia 60–85 million years ago, having separated from Antarctica between 85 and 130 million years ago. so, it is better to give it a new name for clarity

Sameeha Arifi MANSUKHBHAI KOTHARI NATIONAL SCHOOL

we have 7 continents on our Earth. An 8th continent wouldn''t make any difference in the area of the Earth, though if it is counted as a part of one of the existing continents, the continent would just become large in terms of area.

Tejasri Vallabha Sri gurudatta high school

Yes ,I think zeelandia should be named a continent, the growing population in many countries can be reduced by migrating people to zeelandia.By which it also starts developing.

Yes , I think zeelandia should be named a continent, the growing population in other countries can be reduced by making many people migrate to zeelandia.

Rahul M Dinesh National Centre for Excellence

Zeelandia is a small submerged landmass with only New Zealand being the only part of it, above the sea level. Therefore I believe that Zeelandia is not fit to be earth''s 8th continent.

Ananya Singh Harmony International School , Kharghar

It depends on what scientist says, if they say no then it can''t become the eight continent.

Souparnika Jayadeep Jayapal Harmony International School , Kharghar

It depends on the scientists but I say, "It shouldn''t be a 8th continent as we''ll ruin the natural greenery of that particular place by using hazardous chemicals and other things. This should be kept moreover for it greenery even though if it is declared as one."

Yashvi Panchal UDGAM SCHOOL

Yes, Zeelandia should become the 8th continent as it has distinctive geology which makes it eligible for becoming the 8th continent.

Pragya RUKMINI DEVI PUB. SCHOOL(PITAMPURA)

No, as a continent is basically any of the world''s main continuous expanses of land whereas Zeelandia is mainly submerged in water. Also, the part which is not submerged covers a very small area and so is not fit to be called as a continent.

Vibha Kannan AMANORA PUBLIC SCHOOL AMANORA PUBLI

If the continent, Zealandia, is accurately mapped and assessed, we can make it the eighth continent. Maybe in the future, but for now it is a no from my side.

Garima Srivastava BAL BHARTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (ROHINI)

No, Zealandia shouldn`t be the eighth continent, as if we further take steps to develop it, there are a lot of questions that one may come across, like where will the revenue for its development be generated from? Or maybe, Will people agree to move and settle into a totally new place?. Moreover, industrialisation over there will further increase pollution and resource problems may arise too.

Prerana S Kulkarni CLARENCE PUBLIC SCHOOL

Zeelandia is too small to be an individual continent on its own. I understand that it has a well defined geographical boundary, and a well defined crust-type too, but that doesn''t mean that it should be a new continent. It should continue to be a part of Oceania/Australia and continue to have regular relations with the other countries and continents of the world.

Roma Ramcoumar Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

I don''t think so . It makes the answer long and it will be hard for remembering . Just for fun !!! It is submerged ! half submerged cant be considered as a continent

Snehil Chaturvedi City Montessori School Phase II, Gomtinagar

As per my thinking Zealand should not be a continent , because they are the groups of Island , they can together form a country .

Lakshay LORD JESUS SCHOOL GURGAON

It''s not about one more continent but it''s all that does Zealand truly has all the characteristics which are a benchmark for being called as the 8th continent. I as a young mind think that when something isn''t explored completely it can''t be discovered.

Karissa B. Khonglam Ryan International School

It will be a pioneering step if we consider Zealandia as the 8th continent of this globe. It will serve as an evidence to the great work and precise research conducted by all the scientists, geologists, engineers etc.

Gaurav Singh Sunbeam Schools

Yes i think that we should make a new continent to Zeelandia but we have to care of it for the future time

Fazil Tkd GHS Katipoor

I think it should not be or we the students don''t want a new country. If it is approved or became a new country definitely they want a democratic government, election. Training and appointing a new army. Starting war to get more area of land. Trying and taking any steps to be the toppest etc. So my oppenion is that it should go with the near by country or leave it as a tourist spot with tight security.

Mohamed Ibrahim O.M.S Bethel Mat Hr Sec School

I think zealandia should not become an eight continent. Because it is the land which is already submerged under the sea and it doesn''t have any resources

Adarsh Chauhan Army Public School

No need of eighth continent It is actually a continental fragment that broke away.....most of which is underwater . Actually we can call it as a sub continent of Australia ,as sub continent is a "distinguishable part of a continent". I am not a expert on geology but if Zealandia is a continent , then may be Madagascar and Greenland are also continent.

Saksham Kumar Aggarwal DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL (SR)(DAYANAND VIH

Yes, Zealandia should become the 8th continent of the world as it fulfills all the properties to become a continent.

Saksham Kumar Aggarwal DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL (SR)(DAYANAND VIH
