Does India’s Under-17 soccer team stand a chance of winning the FIFA U-17 World Cup? Share your views.

Saying that India will win the World Cup might be a little too optimistic. India got a default qualification to play by virtue of being the hosts. Instead of focusing on winning the cup, we should support the team regardless of victory or loss. This will provide a great experience to young budding footballers.

I do not think that the Under-17 Indian team has a chance. Other teams are better equipped, with their government spending money on training and encouraging players in every possible way. Unlike cricket, our footballers do not get motivation from fans and lack the experience of playing at an international level.

I'm not sure about winning but it's definitely an honour to see our national anthem being played at a FIFA tournament. Moreover, the hardships that players undergo to get where they are today, is definitely commendable. If not a win, at least our team will gain valuable experience.

It will be difficult to say if Indian team will blow the horn of triumph in FIFA 2017 , but regardless of winning or loosing it is very sure that they will be getting a great experience .We all must encourage the young footballers to do their best.

It is hard to say whether the team will win or lose but it was a good attempt to promote soccer in India. It was a good experience for the U-17 Indian football team and budding footballers in our country!! We would only be too happy if they win!!

No, India does not has a chance to win FIFA 2017 ,as they lacks practice, but this tournament will surely give them enough experience for their future matches. With my point of view Indian team should more focus on their playing skills rather than their hairstyle.

It’s a tough call for India to lift the U-17 World Cup,with the likes of Brazil,Chile,Japan,Colombia,Iraq (European, Central American /North American countries are still to be decided) in the tournament. India lost in most matches . But, I hope they will be back to winning ways before the World Cup begin.
