Dear PM, Resolve Them For National Interest

Students of  Suma Public High School, Bengaluru have appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in - and resolve - the long-standing Cauvery dispute to end bandhs and protests which has caused loss of life and property. Times NIE asked students about the issues they want Modi to take up. Here’s what they said...

Rising inflation:  I feel rising inflation is pinching the common man of India. But unfortunately neither the government nor the opposition is serious about it. It’s time the government took inflation seriously and put a cap on rising prices.

Women safety:  The recent murder of two women by their stalkers in a span of 24 hours is a wake up for one and all. It’s unfortunate that even after 69 years of independence, women in India feel unsafe. We have been hearing our PM expressing concern about such incidents. But I strongly feel that the PM should take such incidents seriously and outline a policy where each of us feel safe and work to our potential without any discrimination.

Allocate more funds to defence structure: With rising inflitrations along the LoC, I feel Centre should allocate more funds to our defence sector.  We need efficient equipment to guard our borders.

This issue should be brought to an end. Cauvery river flows mostly in Tamil nadu. TN''s agricultural activities are dependent on the flow of Cauvery. So, the Karnataka ministers should realise it. We are Indians. We should share our resources.

Respected PM. I would like to put before you the need for quality education. Education should not be catered in a plate of inequity. IB students in our country gets a chance for better education with all the facilities as they are born in a rich family. CBSE and ICSE students also studies in a school where the strength is less than 35 students in a class and gets individual attention from teachers . But why, only state board have to cater to minimum 60 in a class with less infra structure?

I would want Modi to look into the education system. Though it is not that possible to find a mistake that cannot be countered, I think Modi must take steps to make it more interactive. He must also advise the education ministry to take steps to give equal importance to all subjects and not just sciene and math.

sir please continue to be the people''s leader

THIS ISSUES SHOULD BE SOLVE AS FAST AS CAN. AND SHOULD BE ACTIVE.

Cauvery dispute has cost us a lot. It has taken lives of many and hampered economies of both the states. An action by PM can help the people of both the states.
